So here are some photos with two different guns. The first is with the Kimber Micro 9, and the second is a Glock 19. I think the Kimber Micro 9 with holster will do just fine inside, but I seriously doubt the Glock 19 will fit well and be easily retrievable.

Looking at these pictures, I dont think my Pistol will fit in that either.

Pics of installed vault. Did not have my pistol for size comparison but that is a Galaxy S9 if that helps at all. The key fob slot is visible in the pic but there will be a foam pad on the bottom to protect your belongings and hid the “key slot”

So....I'm doubting a full sized 1911 isn't going to fit

I was able to squeeze a "bill wilson" carry 1911 through the opening and place it in there but it was a pretty tight squeeze through the top hole and the bill wilson is less than full size (see photo with measurement). I'll have to wait to have it installed before I could say definitively if I could get a full size 1911 in there at an angle, but I will say it would be pretty awkward getting it in and out even I can technically get it in there.

Can you show a picture of the G19 and Kimber actually in the vault? (Muzzle down)

This console looks similar in size to the OEM Toyota one in my Tacoma. Glock 43X is a good fit. The taco safe is only secured with two 8mm bolts, but it seems reasonably solid. Any of this stuff is only to keep honest people honest. In reality there will be significant entire Bronco theft, especially in southwestern states, in the coming years.

Console Vault (here in San Antonio) will sell you an Abloy keyed lock for those. I have have their products for several years now and am very impressed!
