I know right! There are colors I would never own, but yet can't wait to see them out on the roads. Carbonized is one of three colors on my list, and is looking good here if indeed that's it.
Yup, I'm right there with you. Carbonized Grey and Antimatter Blue are my top 2 (for now).

Loving the stock headlights much more so than the "signature" upgrades!

I think I've got this whole color shifting thing figured out...hear me out.

Ford is going to install a paint booth at each dealership and ship all Broncos in primer. Once you take delivery, the Bronco goes into the booth where it applies the color you want. If you don't like it, it immediately washes it all off before it dries and applies another color until you like it.

Seems legit to me

That's what they are doing now - they have about five months to work the bugs out of the assembly line process. So much of it is automated now that I don't think it's much of a concern to be honest. The bigger concern is for design flaws that won't get noticed until a good number of them are on the road, which we won't have for well over a year, maybe two. How's Ford with handling recalls? I've never owned one...
Ha ha Ford and recalls? Where you been for the last 50 years. Ford is notorious for being forced to recall after years of complaints. Pinto, Bronco II, Explorer, Fusion, and most recently F150's with freezing door latches.

Can someone with knowledge of the production process explain why the hood would be attached during production and not just added after the engine work is completed? Seems like an unnecessary hazard for the workers.
Since Ford invented the production line I have no worries they know what they are doing.
Henry Ford designed his first moving assembly line in 1913, and revolutionised the manufacturing processes of his Ford Model T. This assembly line, at the first Ford plant in Highland Park, Michigan, became the benchmark for mass production methods around the world.

Preproduction photos from BN taken at Michigan Assembly Plant

While these are still early pre-production units, they represent a major leap forward as they are the first Broncos to be assembled on the production line. To date, the other Broncos seen on the road have been hand built prototypes.

As we anticipate full production of the new Bronco starting next year, Ford has begun testing the assembly line tools to ensure a seamless production process, bringing us one step closer to the real deal.

I'm a little bummed that the Ford emblem on the tail gate is riveted or bolted on and that they made an indentation for it. I typically de-badge my vehicles but oh well...I'll live

The body is mostly completed on one line. The engine, drive train, suspension etc.. get installed on the frame in another line. Then the body is lowered onto the completed frame. The hood will not be involved or open. The interior and glass are usually last.

That yellow is some sort of assembly tool. That Bronco is white.
I have just read through this thread and was about to post the same thing.

I think these are applied to keep from damaging the panels while being assembled, fenders and door jams.

Iconic Silver looks goooood
It really does even under those assembly/warehouse lights. My opinion has changed to include silver as a potential contender. I've always been in the camp of silver only belongs on European cars. Maybe not this time.
