Explored an area new to us over New Year's. Found some great views and a few fun trails hidden in the woods.

Thank you so much for sharing as I live in Utah, but have a property on the East side of Port Angeles that I'm not sure what to do with. I took my wife to the area last summer but we didn't get a chance to explore any trails. Great inspiration for me to explore more this coming summer.

Very cool, glad I could help. Feel free to reach out for more suggestions/ guidance next time you're in the area. (y)

Fun stuff! Was there in August and it was tricky finding trails, but we can’t wait to get back. Long haul from Detroit, though. 😅

That is a long haul! Hope you had a good trip. Lots to see and do around here, but most of the fun trails aren't marked. One trick is to look at the USFS Interactive Visitor Map to find high clearance roads that look to lead to interesting places in the National Forest.- then hope they aren't too overgrown. But the exploration is is part of the fun. https://www.fs.usda.gov/ivm/

We had a great time. 10 National Parks on the way there and back. Olympic was one of the highlights. Beautiful country.

Great photos, Scott! So much to take in. The PNW has a lot to offer. Going it alone is best. No one-upmanship is required.
