not at all... but I have been built since August 16th... with a soft top... I would much rather have it in my garage... then sitting there
But the average time a vehicle takes to be sold is nearly 90 days, so nothing is yet outside the norm.

Yeah

Nitro Creek is a massive lot for new vehicles outside the Jeep factory. That lot is generally all vehicles awaiting shipping.

These lots can be storage for awaiting shipping or upfitting or to store them until a problem can be fixed (like the MIC tops). The soft tops in these lots can be just overflow waiting for a rail car, not necessarily problem vehicles.
I work for an OEM and that is not the case here. This of course does not mean it works this way at Ford but it is likely to be the same or similar.

Here, once a car is complete it is considered by the plant as sold and is transferred over to the shipment group. They move them to their storage lots while awaiting shipment.

Cars requiring typical rework are sent directly to indoor rework bays and processed immediately. Cars requiring rework that either does not yet have an approved solution or replacement parts are stored outside in lots. These lots are separate from the shipment lots as you never mix rework units with complete units. Otherwise there would be nothing to stop them for loading cars needing rework onto trains or trucks.

Knowing that this area has been used for months to store units awaiting rework which does not have an approved solution, it seems safe to assume they only use this lot for rework storage.

Well, it may be interesting to see how this ties in with Dirt Mountain 2.1...

20 years from now when we are all gathering at Bronco meet-ups we are going to have a good laugh about the ol' Dirt Mountain days.
Twenty years from now I plan on being at Del Boca Vista! :geek:

Has anyone figured out why the hell they decided to keep the biggest pile of dirt next to all the new vehicles?
I find it kinda comforting to see that it's still there. At this point, the dirt mountain is as iconic as the Bronco itself.

Mine was built - pulled off the lot - and then brought back to have the chip replaced. Probably a QC issue.
Want to check... LOL... Check your ETIS data. I seriously doubt that any chip was replaced, but if you track it, you'll know whether or not they are full of crap. Download that information now.

Compare and contrast. Two different vehicles, obviously one hasn't been touched since 08/05 Aug - and certainly didn't have any chips replaced.

Agreed. Something is up with the softies but gets pushed under the MIC 2.0 rug.
Maybe they needed weather closure to store them outside?

I am in no way in the know. My only expertise is spending an average of 3 or so hours a day at least five days a week on this forum since October of 2020. Hard top, your'e waiting on a new MIC roof but could be other problems. Soft top? Air bags or valve issues. 513 Broncos affected by air bags. Valve issues? No idea how many however if your engine was built April of 2021 then your'e engine could be screwed. Bad batch of valves in April. The VIN I believe is able to tell you the engine "birth date" . Run the VIn through some kind of decoder? I don't know but read the engine birth date is descoverable.

Tried vin decoder, doesn't tell engine build date.

Mine has no airbag recall.
Mine is a soft top.
IF it's a valve /engine problem, mic tops would also be affected. They don't seem to be.

Pick something else.

All I am going off is this thread about the 2.7L where an employee of the Lima, Ohio engine plant is saying bad valves. He also mentioned the engine date is discoverable. Again I just go through threads.

I don't realley care because I am a 2022 but a MIC top sitting there may also be sitting there for other reasons? If I'm not helping I'll shut the f up.

The VIN will not tell you the engine birth date unless you have access to the right Ford databases (and no, I don't have access to them). Your dealer, however, does. So call your dealer and ask them, if they won't tell you, then reach out here to people in the know... there are several people who can and often will help, but I know how Ford has retaliated on people who have shared information, so I am not going to say anything else about that.
