Me too!

@Rubisquatch, is there any more information to go along this picture? I'm definitely interested in the story behind that one!
Sorry guys, found the pic and thought it was a crazy break and funny pic but don’t have the back story.

If I had to guess, looks like someone yanked him super hard with a tow strap right around the front axle shaft/the diff and snapped it. Either that or his diff/shaft hit an immovable rock going really fast.

Edit: looks like the latter from the video below.

careful to not throw stones....
I see lots of over eager new Bronco owners doing too much to impress.

Looks like maybe inexperienced driver. May have panicked and mistook the gas for the brake. Then to late just along for the ride.

.............. or maybe he was mad at the ESC and said I'll fix it. :ROFLMAO:

Undecided
The stock front axle in a Rubicon is pretty weak. They took the Dana 30 axle and tossed in a Dana 44 center section and 30 spline inner shafts (27 spline in the D30). The tubes are small and thin. The knuckles are decent but the inner Cs they attach to are weak. The unit bearing and outer stub shaft are the same parts between the two.

They are notorious for failing when you run big tires unless you add a bunch of reinforcement. It's not hard to break a stock Jeep front axle. There's a big aftermarket full of people offering axle tube sleeves, trusses, gusset plates for the inner C's, etc. And, of course, maybe half a dozen full up axle replacements that all use heavy duty parts (better center section, bigger tubes with thicker walls, forged inner C's, etc.)

It's a funny picture, that's for sure. I've seen the pictures of axles that have just bent too. They have curved passenger side axle tubes and the inner C's have shifted giving you some serious camber on the tires. Some people say the axle is smiling at you. :giggle:
