Those seats look fantastic.
The real world feedback from the B6G Herd has me changing my model choice from Wildtrak to Badlands (For now, anyways) based on the seats and floor.
It is costing me more because I’m still getting the 2.7/10 and modular top.
Now, I need a fog light solution that isn’t going to get tickets and pass inspection...

Most leather seats in new cars now actually are not full leather. The seating surface and back may be real leather but the side bolsters and edge trim are vinyl.

All Tesla’s come with Vegan leather Which is some sort of plastic vinyl.

i had a 2013 bmw 135i and I’m pretty sure it was full leather. Very nice leather and smelled AMAZING for years.

I should note that most leathers in cars today are also coated with some sort of UV polyurethane coating for stain and UV resistance. It prolly would still dry out but they’re not usually raw leather like say your coat or wallet.

with that said, and I obviously am a leather fan I will no doubt be getting the vinyl or what I deem the Ford SoftTec seats. Lol

Got to put my hands on the vinyl seats today. They are a lot softer than I thought. Definitely softer than leather. They look and feel fantastic. A leather upgrade would be a waste of money.

I was there and viewed and felt both. The vinyl was sooo much better. I was getting it before but seeing it confirmed it for me. LOVED IT!

Vinyl looks like it would be extra miserable to sit on in the summer. Doesn't look good either and the tactile feel relative to leather is probably worse. Pass.
