Went over to the Bronco sleeping grounds in Phoenix today.
Drove in my Wrangler running on 35"s and a 2" lift.

The Wrangler and the Sasquatched 4D Cactus Grey Bronco are almost exactly the same hight.

Cactus grey is indeed US Military Fighter Jet Grey.

It has an extremely light green tint that cameras love to emphasize.

US Airforce airman ( B6G lurker) there at the same time commented that it's Military Grey with a gloss coat.

These pictures came out right.

More pics of the Cactus Grey that came out too green.

Also, those GY Territory tires hold rocks like they were gold nuggets.
I counted 8 rocks stuck in the front driver's side. quit counting after that.
Those tires are getting replaced.

Finally on the Sasquatch.
Ford really pushed the DOT fender coverage envelope.
Not much point in getting smaller flairs unless you want to beat the paint up on the side of you Bronco.

On to Cyber Orange:

The CO should have been called Early Bronco Chrome Yellow metallic.

This was the only non-frankenbuild there at the time.
It looked to be about the most prodution accurate of the Broncos there.

CO looks great, but I'm glad I saw it in person, because it's off my list.

Overall a really nice color that shows off the Bronco's lines.

The MIC top is beautiful on this.

last and least was the beat up black OBX with the hideous prototype top.

It has the Bronze dash.
That looks *good*!!

So are you keeping your Jeep? How did you like the bronco in person? I have an 05 Wrangler and I'm getting the 4 door Bronco since it's more practical space wise.

a) thanks for the pics and comments, and nice Jeep. This gives me a solid idea that a Squatch Bronco will be the same height as my Jeep (34’s on a 2.5” lift).

b) those territories sort of look like duratracs, and my duratracs constantly have little bits of gravel stuck in them. Not a big deal by annoying.

c) so Chrome Yellow: would you say that Cyber Orange color looks kind of butterscotch in person?

dang it! It will prob be a dust magnet and reflect light like crazy. I was hoping it would be textured like the other trims.

Yup.
I cheated in the 35"s with the flat fenders.
Your 34"/2.5" lift is probably the same height.

I *HATE* small stones in the tread when running topless ( about +9 months of the year)
The stone induced click-click-click after dropping the clutch and otherwise silently free rolling drives me mad.

Metallic Butterscotch!!! You should be running Ford's paint department!!!

This makes me rethink Cactus Gray and put it back in the running, from someone who's seen it in person.

Anyone else feel the same? I've always thought the computer generated coloring and the pics I've seen had some minty type green attached to it.
I have never waver from Cactus Grey for my WT pick. Color goes well with the outdoors of LA.

The top is grey, the fenders, rock rails and bumpers are black.
This actually keeps good continuity along the bottom body lines.

Both the USAF Airman and myself agreed that the Cactus Grey has a stunning amount of "pop".

It looked really good and enhanced the Bronco's lines and details.

I'm not even a fan of grey.
Look up my old posts bitching about " 50 shades of rental car".

Seriously if I was getting a upper trim, instead of a 2022 base Mansquatch and wrapping it green, I'd put Cactus Grey in a top three with A51 and Rapid Red.

I think the territory will replace the Duratracs and if the territory are anything like the Duratracs then it will be a killer tire. Been running the Duratracs since 2013 and I love that tire.

I should have looked closer ....?
I was trying to see if i could replace the screws on those two black hinges that hold the rear glass with quick release compression or 1/4 turn screws .... just to be able to take that rear glass off without removing the back top pc of the roof .... but now it looks like i have to disconnect water lines for the sprayer and take off the wiper too!!! SHIIIIIT

100% agree.
DTs are good tires.

Sadly, the thinner than average sidewalls (which make them lighter than average for size, and gives a higher average MPG) don't last long on the sharp boulders of Arizona.

They are popular here with construction site workers.
A little more use on jagged sites (phrase?), and the the Toyo RT dominates on work trucks.

PS: this forum really needs a dedicated tire sub-forum.
The subject is really too complicated for " does xxx fit?"

That solves the family’s debate. Mom and dad swear the Bronco was Chrome Yellow - which looked sort of butterscotch. All the pics make it look bronze, but dad says that’s because he never washed it. We all remember it being more yellow than the pics.

Yeah CO two door is the one. I’ll have to explore painting the MIC top Wimbledon White ...
