With all the excitement about allocation numbers, I reached out to my salesman this morning and asked him about their proposed allocation numbers and where would I be in the line at their dealer ship. I got the whole, we don't know anything yet about this or that. Honestly, I'm a little tired of knowing more than he does.

So I called around, and thought that I was calling the biggest dealer in Louisville, and it turned out I called one of the smallest by accident.
I asked for the Bronco specialist and got handed off to a kid that used to be one of my wife's former students.
I told him I was shopping dealers against each other, I'm A-Plan, so the deal doesn't matter to me, just how soon can I get it. Kid jumped through hoops, called me back 10 minutes later and informed me I would be #3 at their dealership, behind him (he was #2).

I might be moving my rez.

Congrats! Mine hasn't responded to emails in the last 24 hours, and I can't call until later.

Out of how many? Doesn’t help if you’re number 3 and they only have 2 allocations
he said they had 27 reservations. Not sure on allocations, but it's a small dealership, so I imagine that number would be pretty low.


Just got a call back from my initial salesman.
My 1st rez(7/13 23:06) FE is #3 out of 24 (pre) allocations for MY21
My 2nd rez (7/18) BL got pushed to MY22

I was going to cancel the second one anyhow, but thought someone would want to know the difference 5 days make

Assuming the 30% number then they got 7 or 8 allocated to them. Roughly.

sure he could, he just doesn't submit his in the first allocation and lets them all go to customers.

I don't see a huge issue with this. At the end of the day they're still a customer and have still gone through the process. I'd rather a salesperson with an invested interest in the truck and the process than one who doesn't care. It's not like they're jumping in line because they're a salesman.

I see your point though. I may care more if I was one spot out from the allocation amount.

Now if there was a Bronco on the lot that I showed interest in and then my salesman bought it before I could that would be a different story.

My dad bought his expedition there, used to be Downtown Ford. It was a good experience minus the salesman writing his name wrong on the thank you card they mailed. I always forget about them.
