Hmm… If that was a 2022 option, I would consider pushing my order out for that. Need more info, but that’s interesting.

Technically, Farley is responding to whether Ford has an "opinion" not "option", though...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Lol, good catch. I missed that. I hold more value in the wording in the owners manual vs. what he has to say :D

Probably a mid-cycle refresh option.

There has been a ton a hints at an EV/Hybrid version of the Bronco... even from *very* early on (in interviews and side comments, and material leaks that have since been taken down).

If Ford *doesn't* offer a some sort of EV/Hybrid version of the Bronco in the future, I'll eat my hat.

The *only* point left up for discussion, in my opinion, is when.

My question is, where will the put the batteries? It is already packaged pretty tight in the gas configuration. I am betting on an all EV vs a hybrid. Diesel will be first.

EV is not Hybrid. Hybrid means you can keep going since a small engine is charging batteries. EV means you'll be sitting somewhere IF you can find charging station and IF it's open....not for cross country trips for sure.

The Jeep just launched the Plug-in Hybrid. It is an EV with a gasoline motor to charge the batteries when need.

What you describe is a series hybrid vehicle, commonly known as an extended range EV. The 4xe appears to be a series-parallel hybrid. This means it can run off of gas only, electric only, or both at the same time, and the gas engine can recharge the batteries while driving if you choose. This is more versatile than either a pure series hybrid or pure parallel hybrid, but also more complex.

My guess is that Ford introduces a plug-in hybrid version as a 2023 model. If I love my 2021 I'll probably trade in for the hybrid in 2024. All-electric version is probably at least five years away.

Ah yes....once again the Ford management word games-enmeshed in ambiguity-begin. Followed by numerous comments of pure speculation, conjecture and hopeful guesses from the masses. Nothing like meaningless kibbles and bits from the likes of Levine, Farley et al to waste our time and divert our attention. I love the new bronco; Ford executive leadership not so much.
