Non-Sasquatch badlands got the severe duty steering rack also.
I looked it up on the Ford Website and the 25 badlands lists as HOSS 2 standard-- now maybe they have made a change since the online build came out --. It could also have to due with the various build scenarios and configurations where it may also be standard

Hoss 2.0 has always been standard on badlands.
In 2024, Bandlands and all Sasquatch equipped vehicles came standard with the severe duty steering rack (same one as the wildtrak had in the hoss 3.0 package)

I wouldn't get too overheated about needing the upgraded steering rack unless you plan on rock crawling or lifting it with bigger tires. The lesser HD rack is still pretty sturdy and anyway, a tie rod is cheaper to replace.

In my opinion, look for 22/23 WildTraks, Badlands non-Sas or OBX non-Sas with the high package. The main difference is:

WT comes with Sas (only), non-"washout interior", leather or cloth(?) seats, 2.7L only, generally has the steps too
BL non-Sas comes with bigger tires (34's), you can get the 2.3L if you want, has washout floors and vinyl seats, these can be very nice but all the off road capability can be overkill if you're not off roading
OBX non-Sas has painted handles and other niceties; it's the Hillbilly Lincoln, if you will...

The best deals have been the Everglades and Heritage non-Limited trims. You cannot get either anymore, as well as the WildTrak (discontinued in 2025).

If you want to tow the Bronco behind an RV, try to find one without 4-wheel advanced (4A). Personally, I would also say a late 2022/2023 so you can still get a Granger extended ESP warranty.

22's and 23's were a lot more wide open re: options than the 24 and especially 25 models. I have the high package and frankly, I don't see the Lux is worth it but YMMV (especially if you want the fancy cruise control).

And I'm in a 2dr, which I approve of if you can finagle it. But a 4dr is more functional if you're carting people around a lot or have dogs/need more rear storage space.

yeah that's what I thought--biggest change for 25 is with the SAS package you can get the complete HOSS 3 which was only available on the wildtrack.

My wife has a Bronco, I have a '16 F-150. For a DD I would never trade. The 150 is much more refined/polished and has much more room. Much quieter, I don't have a b pillar in my armpit, the center rear view mirror isn't below my chin etc.

Bronco is better on a trail because it's smaller... but day to day not enough better for me to call it much of an upgrade.

Talk to me about this Granger extended warranty. How does that compare with Blue Oval Certified? I’ve seen both Blue Oval Blue and Blue Oval Gold in my area.

Second, is there an easy way to tell whether or not a vehicle is equipped with the 4WD Advanced short of looking at the knob in the vehicle? Why wouldn’t I be able to flat tow a Bronco with that option? I’ve actually found a couple better deals on WildTraks, and most of them seem pretty loaded. I like the Badlands for the spray out interior, but I’m not married to it. Thanks again for the thoughts.

There are lots of Broncos with 4A being flat towed without issues. BUT to the best of my knowledge, through mine and others research, those are the only ones that have had issues. I believe Ford may have figured out why and fixed it with software updates, but we can’t even get Ford to admit there ever was a problem, and many of those transmission and transfer case failures that happened related to flat towing were denied warranty. I specifically ordered a Bronco without 4A so I could have less worry when I flat tow which is often.

All—

I’ve lurked here off and on for a while. I almost traded my 2018 supercharged F150 back when my Bronco reservation number was called back in 2021. I ultimately decided against it, but my heart never wandered far from the Bronco. In 2022, thinking I still “needed” a truck but wanting something with a bit better fuel economy, I replaced my 2018 with a 2022 F150 hybrid. The 2022 is an awesome and capable truck, but so was my 2018 (even more so). And compared to my 2018, the mileage on the ‘22 has been… underwhelming.

This brings me to the topic at hand: I’ve begun a search for a Bronco once more. I’m finding mostly 2022’s, but I know there isn’t a TON of difference MY to MY at this point. Anything I should be looking out for? Options I should avoid? Options I should require? My trucks have been/are Lariats, so while I’m not top of the line, I like my amenities. I welcome thoughts as I work through my search.
If you require that the rear seat passengers be comfortable, wait and get a 2025, as that’s the first year there are rear passenger a/c vents in the back of the center console.

How far are you looking to jump your F150? If you have a long enough run it, and a big enough jump, I bet you could easily clear 100 feet. Good luck on your jump. Make sure you video it and post it here.

Found a couple of options close to me that are worth a look. Any appreciable difference between MY21 and MY22? Both are WildTraks.

Check build date vs 2.7 valve / engine failures / recall.

Less spray out, more wipe out... It's just a rubberized/plastic interior. One guy got water in his media unit. In other words, it's not waterproof, just getting mud and whatnot out is easier than carpet. Also, Armorlite has a replacement flooring that looks pretty nice if you want something a bit tougher.
