it’s called being smart. Why blow my load on 1-2 cars when I can have 3 really good cars? I have 3 cars now and all 3 will replaced. I was not planning on getting into the gen3 raptor but used car prices are insane right now. My 2019 raptor is 2.5 years old and I am getting the same amount I paid for it 2.5 years ago. Once the gen3 raptor comes out the gen2 raptor value will most likely drop.

so for an additional 10k I can have a gen3 raptor in my driveway? Hell yeah .. this is a no brainier.

I am sure the raptor R will be a special vehicle with special pricing. Have you checked gt500 pricing? Minimum 20k adm and I have seen 50k adm. just because I can afford a 100k car does mean I should be stupid with my money.

But a Raptor R is too rich for your blood? Something doesn't add up.

My dealer has 2 allocations. One for a 35” and one for a 37” package. I am getting the 37” package.

Congrats! I was about to post that Ford has 2 types of allocations ... one with 68R (37s) and one without. I am not sure why Ford is doing this (commodities or controlling how many 37s are produced ... maybe a bit of both). I would imagine that customers scoring an allocation will be upset that they can't get 37s.

What color are you getting? I assume Code Orange as the seats have orange stitching to match the paint.

BTW ... I was told by another dealer that there will be only 2500 2021 Raptors so your 37s will be a rare/limited spec.

I am going with Code Orange. I have heard that there will be commodity constraints through 2022 with the chips etc.
I am glad that I have some great guys that I am dealing with.

1 - I am paying sticker
2 - This is my 3rd Raptor from them ... 2013, 2019 and soon 2021

Raptor allocation is a mystery too everyone .. including the dealers. Regional Reps contact their prospective dealers and tell them they have an allocation and that they have a deadline to submit their order or the allocation will be taken away.

In late 2018, my dealer called me and said we were just given 3 allocations (24 hours to act on it) and asked if I wanted one. I submitted my order right away.

Got the same call on sat morning and was told the deadline to submit the order was June 10. I sent my order to them 5 hours later:

MSRP >> $64,145
Destination >> $1,695
Code Orange Color
801A (note to self ... includes Bundle Package, Convenience Package, Tow Tech Package) >> $6,195
61C - Carbon Fiber >> $995
96W - Spray in bed-liner >> $595
18T - Power Tech Package >> $1,995

Total >> $75,620

BTW .. another dealer told me he his rep said that there will be only 2500 2021 Raptors. I can't confirm this number but given the late production start to due to covid and also a shortage of chips so it may be true.

Do you have a relationship with your dealer to know about this upcoming allocation? You paying over MSRP?

Not sure if you seen this video but it is very detailed.
