Hello all, we have a two week road trip planned from Ohio to Moab in our 2dr SAS Big Bend for Off-Roadeo coming up. Plan to do some wheeling while in MOAB but don’t want to drop $400 for an ARB or similar. Anyone have recommendations for a good portable tire inflator? Time to inflate isn’t a huge issue because we won’t be off-roading regularly at home. Just want something reliable for a decent price.

If you can find one, the MaxiTrac from Napa (I paid $100ish) is AWESOME. I’d watched a video raving it against the ARB where it beat it - and I can say it is true - I refilled mine next to a guy with a mounted twin ARB and finished before him.

We had a club member with the NAPA compressor and his own custom 4 tire inflator Saturday. He aired three of us up from 25 to 40 lbs. in under 4 minutes per Bronco. I was super impressed. It was also relatively quiet and smooth. It's on my short list if I can find it in stock.

Second vote for the Napa:

It is usually around $100 with the $20 off deal they always run. For that price, it is incredible and blows away the ARB as far as time to fill. I put a split in the original line so I can pump up 2 tires at once, and I can pump up very quickly doing that.

Amazon, AutoZone, Napa, Walmart, Harbor Freight, Trailer Supply, or any other automotive store has a cheap 12v air pump. Get a cheap one and buy 2 if you’re worried about reliability.

Better yet, wheel with a buddy.

Curious...what size tires did you have? Their chart recommends 400P for 35" but wonder if one could get away with the 300P.
35's on the F250 and OBS Bronco. Stiff-walled racing slicks (Hoosier DOTs) on the race car. And then trailer tires. In most instances it was 2-3 minutes per tire depending on what they needed.

A previous thread recommended VAir and I bought a 400p. I’ve used I once and liked it.
