Thanks! Kinda bummed about the obstacles we missed. They were the gnarlier ones and I swear it seemed like three people were recording. Really they were probably waiting for shit to break and when it didn’t they deleted the videoSand Hollow at it’s best. Nice job and great video!
Pros and cons to everythingNice video!
Now I need portals..
There’s plenty of places out there to break shit that’s for sure. Glad you didn’t!Thanks! Kinda bummed about the obstacles we missed. Thanks! Wanted the disconnect under the hood to keep the powered OG as short as possible. At one point I looked at the cab or bumper and was like “wait. That defeats the purposeNice job
A couple suggestions. Winch switch in the cab is handy & always have your winch controller at the ready & a shackle or 2 as you may find yourself in a situation where you can't open the rear hatch or climb through mountains of gear to get what you need $.02![]()
Yep, just use a relay wired to something like an up fitter switch or the likes. You have low amp control voltage for the long run & have the relay close keeping the high amp wiring short. This is also a safety factor incase the contactor welds shut & you end up with a runaway winch. It's right there & you can clip power if neededThanks! That defeats the purpose” Currently looking into how reliable the relays are and if they look good to go we’ll do one of those instead. So far looks like the worst case scenario is they get stuck open.
And yeah-put two soft shackles in the cab after that. That position was perfect to make the door a biiiiiiiiiiitch to open without damage. Gotta find a tailgate limiting thingie too.

I have a 500 amp relay can't see the name on it which gives me a little head room as the winch is like 409A.The benefits just keep rolling in
Any relays you have personal experience using?
Please, find the name if it's a solid state. I'm using a 500 Amp solenoid and I am planning on carrying a spare for remote trips.I have a 500 amp relay can't see the name on it which gives me a little head room as the winch is like 409A.
I run a Stinger SGP35 500 on one of my upfitters. Please, find the name if it's a solid state. I'm using a 500 Amp solenoid and I am planning on carrying a spare for remote trips.
@SierraBronco - I assume most of these are manufactured in the same places, but Stinger and other car audio brands have them or no-names on Amazon, etc.
