74 Weld portals will change the height 3.9 inches... BB portals will change the height 5 inches. Coil overs will be determined by the weight of your vehicle and the coil over chosen and any preload you might apply... Then there are the tires... that depends on the manufacturer of the chosen size of tire... A 38 is not the same size as a 38 from another manufacturer..... close but can be as much as an inch different.

Off the top of my head I know that my vehicle is 87.5 inches to the stock ford roof rack... I know this because every car was in town has a max height of 87 inches...LOL.
Ya, these are all things that can be found. I'm looking for the measurement to flare for an apples-to-apples comparison with my own truck height. Roof rack doesn't work for me with aftermarket. This very much is just for a visual comparison with someone on portals. At the end of the day, trying to figure out how to create the lowest COG

So I tried to get level for you since I didn't get the ADV fenders before everything blew up, so I have quite a bit of poke. Front looks to be about 42.5" and rear 44.5". (74weld portals, 38" nitto ridge grapplers, HOSS 3.0 Fox takeoffs.)

Sweet, thank you!!
I'm on Fox 2.5 adjustable coilovers which add height to the stock HOSS 3.0. Trail Grappler 37's. Wondering if I'd need to remove them and put the HOSS 3.0 back on to minimize ride height/COG. Or maybe get away with removing some preload...

That’s somewhat of the route we took. Got aftermarket fenders with bigger openings and a 1.5” body lift to help clear the tires. Trying to keep it low. But if you want more articulation, you’ll need different coilovers. With Rock Krawler coilovers the travel is awesome, but it did lift us a couple inches over stock. The eventual plan is to get taller shock mounts to drop it back down a tad but maintain all the travel.

Interesting on the travel of RK coilover vs Fox 2.5—do you have numbers?
I am already running the RK Triangulated 4-link and rubbing like crazy on the 37's.

(sorry for the thread-jacking @AGinPB)

I believe front travel is 7” (comes out to roughly 14” wheel travel without portals) and rear is 10” of shock travel.

I assume you’re rubbing in the back? Even with the fenders and body lift if it weren’t for the portals “pushing” the tires down four inches I don’t think even removing the fender liners would be enough. Our rear tires come verrrry close to rubbing the fender. Without the portals I would think the body itself under the liners would likely need some modification to work.

Rubbing on front and back, in various spots. It's not much, but enough to make sounds that aren't super pleasant. Thinking a very minimal 1/2"-3/4" body lift could do the trick. Some folks have added shaft limit collars, but they don't work on the Fox's and I don't want to limit travel. Hoping that a combo of small modifications will do the trick. Or, take the @BigMeatsBronco approach and raise the flares/trim some sheet metal...

Oh wow. That's a huge discrepancy, but kind of makes sense with the aftermarket coilovers? The Kings give 2" lift over Sasquatch?

40's?
Body lift?

40s and kings.... no body lift. front kings have no preload and the rear has about and inch and a half.

your saying a UCA and coilover swap allowed you to get 14" front wheel travel? please explain...

I’ve never measured it. I feel like I remember quin saying the motion ratio is pretty close to 2:1 with the portals. That’s all I was going off of for that number.

Pretty sure he was referring to Leverage, as the center line of the axle (wherever it's located) is still moving in the same Arc and the same highest and also lowest points must be the same.

I did look at the mentioned rock krawler shocks and did see that they advertise a 30% longer wheel travel, but didn't say against what trim or shock absorber they compared it to there is no listing for the stroke length or the compressed and extended lengths.
