Anyone know if there will be positraction or a mechanical limited slip diff in the new bronco's? I am having a tough time figuring this one out... I a getting a 2-door Big Bend if the trim makes any difference. I also understand that there are locking diffs available, but I will be getting the standard diff that comes with the 6MT. Hoping the RWD in the snow doesn't end up being a one-wheel-wonder.

Thanks, and BRONCO ON!

I believe they are all open diffs standard. I haven't seen anything in the literature for LSD

Some good threads on the subject already. Way too much to repeat.

If you don’t want to read through all the diff threads, just read Rocketeer Rick’s post history. He’s the pro on LSDs.

From my understanding, all open diffs but the computer will automatically apply the breaks to the slipping wheel to divert torque to the non-slipping wheel. Not the "best" but works pretty darn well.

Agreed. I know a bit but not nearly as much as he does.

It sounds like it's all or nothing (locker or open diff) in the Bronco. But the modern traction control can actually be better than a limited slip by itself in a lot of cases. Though upgrading from an open diff to a limited slip to go with the traction control would still be an upgrade.

Except when it doesn't. Like in this video.
