Possible Group Buy in NY/NJ/CT +++ Westchester-Fairfield County Area +++

I made this suggestion in the New England region but it applies here.

My wife's cousin is a GM at a Ford dealership in the Tri-state area.. Thing is she doesn't even want to go to him and ask for a 10% under invoice type discount because she feels like she's using him, and doesn't really talk with him. Also, we would prolly hear "why didn't you buy through me" through relatives/etc if we buy elsewhere.

I can see a scenario even being a cousin and possibly on the family discount plan and not even getting a Granger deal and paying the fiddler like everyone else.

Maybe I can go to him for a volume discount if we have enough people.

Good Job. Many choices are good. Also, the less people have to travel the better.

Also, I don't expect to see any discounts in Westchester or Fairfield County, but people from the area will take anything if they don' t have to drive far to get it and are treated fairly. Delaware or MD doesn't really apply unless it's an incredible deal.

I'm writing some kind of proposal to take to take to him.

Maybe if i can promise 25-50 buyers he we could get -500 under invoice with minimal doc fees?

How many would be down with this? and where would you draw the line.?

I would state to him that all the buyers are price savvy and will not tolerate any cost padding. I would not phrase it like this, but it will be evident.

1. If we were to get them here:
2. What (discount) can we receive off of window sticker or invoice.
3. Can we get a break on accessories pricing
4. What are the additional fees associated at (XYZ Dealership)
5. Can we purchase Ford Extended Service Plans's (extended warranties) at a discount
6. Do we have any add on's to the "cost" of the Bronco.

Just something to get it started probably missed some..

Who's your dealer? Most I've talked to are MSRP and will honor x plan.

Plenty who are accepting x-plan as @Blitzinger eluded to. Also, in talks with a couple right now trying to work out a deal... that's in our other thread though.
