As usual I'm sure flip is right. Some dealers have said you can't even change anything once you are previewed. This seems wrong to me. Wouldn't preview be a good time to do a final check and revise order if needed? flip?
My understanding is that "previewed" means the VIN is scheduled to be assigned, but not yet... and only will be if there aren't any commodity issues...

Like, Ford pulled your card to get a VIN, and the "preview" is for the dealer to see if there are any commodity problems, if there are, you can change your order and get your VIN, if there aren't, you'll get your VIN, if there are and you don't, you wont get your VIN.

My sales guy is saying its not possible. Are you sure it is? If so what should my next step be?
@Shotsy @TheColemans05

I changed my color a week after receiving my VIN. I spoke with the sales manager who tried to do it while I was on the phone. He said he system wasn't currently letting him do it. An hour later, he sent me a NEW copy of the Dora and the color had been changed.

You can 100% change color after getting your VIN.

We have changed a few, mine included. Caveat, these all had build weeks when the change was made, there may be a lockout when a day is assigned. They should be able to go into WBDO, open the line and go over to the color drop down and select another color. If you can't it will probably show an error. If they still can't for some reason, their sales zone manager may be able to help.
I just sent another text to my sales guy explaining all this. Waiting to hear back now. Thank you for all your help thus far.

A51 is a good choice. Unique for the bronco family, unique for the year. Velocity blue may look "better" to you right now, but it's a cheap option available on every single ford year after year. Most people think it looks cheap compared to other blues

That's really surprising. I'm glad that you were able to do it, but at the same time, it seems like that would be a pain for Ford. But if they allow it, it's their headache...

My God the irony ... IF .... you got bumped waaaay back because of last minute shenanigans like this.
160000 people crying for a build date, and somebody blows it for a color change.
Lmao.
Not that the truth of it would ever be posted....

Like so many things, if you have a dealer that does their due diligence and advocates for you, their customer, a lot of things are probably possible. Glad you got a good one. Hope the same for the OP.

I changed my interior color (sometime early May, dont remember exactly when) after VIN and build date (June 21) were assigned with no issues. Similar process to what Flip is describing...called dealer and they changed it without any issues.

So update here. Color for me cant be updated because I have an assigned build date, not week. So Area 51 will have to do for me, but thats okay!
Hey if your build is similar to mine, I'll change my Area 51 to Velocity and we'll just trade. Haven't been scheduled yet, but I'm sure you don't mind the extra wait. /s

I do not have a build or VIN yet, but I asked my Bronco specialist the same question and the answer was, "No".

Your dealer needs to email his specific Centralized Field Order Scheduling contact at Dearborn, and request that they make the change in the system. It may or may not be possible depending upon the status. If it is already sent to the plant, it most likely cannot be changed. If it has only been scheduled to the week you may have a better chance. The dealer can also email OrderOne and make the request. No guarantees, but that's the process they should follow. Good luck.

This is incorrect, you can modify your order in any way you please up until the time it is scheduled.
