I'm in the same boat but only because my dealer screwed me over by ordering the wrong color and no options on my Base. Went I went to them to correct my order and make it a Priority 99 on my 7/14 reservation/order they looked me in the eye and said it was a done deal. You can imagine my surprise when I got that 5/27 email saying my Bronco was scheduled for production the week of 7/12.

Well, they offered to "help me out" and re-order my desired MY22 and take this Black Base for their lot. What they didn't tell me was I would go to the end of line for MY22 and pay any MY22 price increases since I would lose my Priority 99 and my 7/14 reservation status since this MY21 would be closed out as Order Complete - Customer Delclined or some other Ford B.S.

So I will order a MY22 as desired with another dealer while I'm driving this Johnny Cash Base for the time being. Given the insanity of Bronco Mania combined with the general craziness and stupidity going on in our society, I should be able to sell old Johnny Cash pretty easily and maybe at my cost or better.

Not going to let the dealer "help me out" by making a profit on their "ordering mistake" on my Bronco by tacking on an ADM of probably at least $3-5K given the market.

A51 is a good choice. Unique for the bronco family, unique for the year. Velocity blue may look "better" to you right now, but it's a cheap option available on every single ford year after year. Most people think it looks cheap compared to other blues
I loved Velocity until I saw it in person. I just looks like something I could get on a Hyundai Accent. But that's just me. I know a lot of people love it.

I'd leave the color alone. I like Velocity blue as well....but maybe not on a Bronco.

I do not have a build or VIN yet, but I asked my Bronco specialist the same question and the answer was, "No".
I would track down the WEBDO specialist. The guys with the black rim glasses and pocket protectors usually have the best information. :)

Color code is part of the VIN. No changing VINs once they are scheduled for Production. Hard NO.

Throw some 265/75R16s on it and it will look awesome while you are playing with it. Remember, ALWAYS request a copy of fhe DORA after ordering the vehicle ta make sure it has what you want.

My sales guy is saying its not possible. Are you sure it is? If so what should my next step be?

As I understand (and that doesn't mean much) there is a gray area in there after you get your VIN where you can change a few things. You may be to far in by now. My wife says Area 51 is the best color, so that's what ours will be. Who am I to argue with her (and you know that answer). :)

Your "Bronco Specialist" is mistaken.
His real job title is not Bronco Specialist, it's Guy Tired of Making Order Changes for all These Customers Who Can't Make Up Their Minds. 💀 They just say Bronco Specialist for short. 😄

Good choice Lee. I saw your other post about your dealer making an "advantageous" mistake with your Bronco order. I think we all know how this "mistake" was made, and there would have been no way in hell I would have let them have the Bronco on their lot either. I don't think you'll lose any money.

Color is not part of the VIN. Color code is separate.

Digit 1-3: The World Manufacturer Identification code. Digit 1 is the country of assembly
Digits 4-8: Vehicle attributes such as body style, model and engine type
Digit 9: Check Digit to validate the VIN
Digits 10: Model year
Digit 11: Manufacturing location
Digits 12-17: Serial number

The paint code for my Ford Escape is UG. There is no "UG" in my VIN number.

Run the VIN tracker. Your color comes up along with your ordered accessories.
