I am wondering if anyone who understands how to figure out how much a tire/wheel combo will poke would be willing to walk me through this potential set up
285/75/17 tires 11.3 wide
17 x 8.5 wheels
0 offset
ADV Fiberglass fenders - 1 inch less coverage than standard flares

anyone have any idea how much poke that causes? thanks for any help, I'm a moron with geometry, for real.

following out of interest. Which ADV fenders did you go with? the 2" or the 5"?

Assuming non-Squatch flares and wheels and that the stock flares have zero poke:

Delta between flares = 1" (per OP)
Delta between offsets = 2.1" (55mm - 00mm)
Delta between rim widths = .25" (8.5" - 8" divided by 2)
Total Poke= 3.35"

thanks to both responders and to answer your question - I have not decided but i think i like the 2 inch better than the 5 because the 5 has a bulge that the 2 doesn't - the 2 looks more true to the original bronco
but you lose 1 inch of coverage.

my issue is not being able to really see what the entire vehicle looks like with the 5s.. waiting for better renders or an actual vehicle to see.

Another good calculator here, it includes the fender clearance.

sorry to beat this dead horse, but hoping someone knows the answer to these questions:
1. when it comes to the wheels/fenders, are the only differences between the sas and non-sas the rim width, offset and flare width?
2, if the answer to 1 is yes, would the easiest way to minimize poke and "front end bulge" be to a) go with SAS because the oem tire offset is 30 and there are more aftermarket wheels in the lower offsets and b) replace the sas-flares with non-sas?
Goal is 285/75/17 tires on either badlands sas or non-sas but with minimal/no poke and aftermarket wheels
holy shit i confused myself reading this back but if anyone understands my question then thanks in advance for the help

I would guess a 285/75/17 tire with a 0 offset 17x8.5 wheel would be just about flush with the outside of a Sasquatch fender flare. Maybe a hair inside the flare?

With your flares you describe, the tires would stick out a couple inches.
