Nice look! With those load range E tires, whats the ride and handling like on the highway compared to stock? And the noise?

It is slightly rougher and slightly louder, but a very enjoyable ride! I wouldn’t go back to stock tires. We’re very happy. Stock is smoother but people who get in the vehicle only knowing these tires say it feels great.

Powder coated the OBX wheels gloss black and am thrilled with the look! The tires are BFG KO2s 275/70/18. No lift or modifications.

The OBX wheels look great with solid black, without the silver outlines Ford went with.

I still don’t really love this style wheel but they are much better all black. That said I’m not sure I ever noticed wheels on any of my vehicles before!

Yes! I also blacked out the emblem in the back as well as the Ford logo. You should also change the tires. It makes a huge difference with the overall look.

I agree, the tires are horrible. Love what you did with the wheels, and the tires look great! I bought the SAS wheels and tires before I even got my OBX. I also blacked out everything on my Cactus Gray.

Stock OBX and we added tow hooks.

I did not know you could put tow hooks on that bumper. I need to go in the garage and look at it.

You have to purchase a converter kit to do it. It wasn’t hard.

Great to see these. I just purchased a white Outer Banks Saturday. Dealer is installing the same BFG KO2 tire.

Nice to see how the tire looks on a stock height Outer Banks.

Now I am thinking I should powder coat the wheels.

Looks great! Tires are a huge improvement to the looks also. I almost did the same thing, but got a couple great deals on wheels and tires after my dealer dicking me around for months

$800. But I was also quoted up to $1250 and some guys will do $100- $125 per wheel but I had to bring them the wheel. I don’t have capabilities to do that.

I was able to mount the tow hooks using Rough Country’s conversion kit. It converts factory tow hooks to D ring shackles. Easy enough to install myself.
