I'm considering Bronze powder coat for my EG OBX build. I thought it would be a lot cheaper than bronze wheels, although now I'm wondering if I'd be better off buying new bronze wheels and selling the OBX stock wheels.

It will be a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle.

Do those tires add a lot of road noise on the highway? Any big decrease in MPG? Curious?
Yes and yes. The tires are louder than stock. I'm sure I lost a few MPG. I average around 17.5 with these tires. Overall I love the tires and wouldn't change a thing. It makes for a much more fun ride.

I don’t think you’re likely to sell the OBX wheels for more than $400, FYI.

I have a set I still haven’t moved at that price.

understand that in your budgeting.

It is slightly rougher and slightly louder, but a very enjoyable ride! I wouldn’t go back to stock tires. We’re very happy. Stock is smoother but people who get in the vehicle only knowing these tires say it feels great.
What is more enjoyable about the ride?

It looks AND feels more aggressive. Rides more like a truck than an explorer. More confident going over things (curbs at Starbucks 🙄). Little bouncier, bumpier - fun.
