I'm really just hoping the Outer Banks B&P lets me swap them for rock rails.

The test driver guy said the rock rails are great protecting the rockers but don’t protect the sides that stick out over the rails. (This is why you crawl with tube doors.)

I’ll be pulling the rock rails off when N-FAB comes with a removable step RKR system or GoRhino Dominator D6 or Warrior. Something that gives some stand-off protection.

Or just use a slider that sticks out farther than your sheet metal, and thus serves as a step too (without the big sheet to catch piles of mud or snow) That's my plan.

It should have the added benefit of protecting from doors in parking lots too if it sticks out farther than the sheet metal.

I am surprised — or maybe Ford will come out with — they don’t come out with enhanced rock rails with the extra tube to protect the sides.

These are so money. I rode in a built jeep on 37s once with 4 inch lift. It had steps like these and they were awesome. Aren't they pretty expensive? I looked at the time and remember having a little sticker shock.
the power step or?

But how is the power step triggered when you have the doors off?
