Powering your fridge/freezer?

I get that there is a 12V plug in the back to power your fancy refrigerator while driving, but what system are you guys using when parked for extended periods of time.

And why did you choose the system you chose?

I would love to hear.

I actually built one using a Redarc controller and a LiFePO battery inside a gun case from Harbor Freight. I enjoyed the project and I learned a lot, and it works really well. But there are plenty of turnkey battery systems out there too.

I don't have my Bronco yet but there's lots of videos from YouTube that cover this topic. I came across it when I searched for overland rig setup or something like that. Most of the people on there go into detail on what they have and what they have tried. What works best for them

Currently have a Rockpals 300w solar battery. Will be getting another solar battery and solar panel(s) for other items.

Apparently the 12v socket is not constant hot. I added a second one that is.

The fridge I have will shut off if the voltage drops too low instead of killing the battery. So far if I keep it plugged in all day at 38F and unplug overnight I'll wake up to it at about 50F.

I have a 66ah lead acid battery in my camper. It has plenty of capacity to keep that same fridge powered overnight (that's accounting for the effective 50% usable capacity of leaf acid). A 50ah lifepo4 would be even better and they're pretty cheap.

I'm running an EcoFlow River Pro battery. I really value small size and fast charge time and it has been perfect for my needs. Being able to add another battery module to it later on if needed is also good.

Were using a Bluetti portable power pack to power our ARB Zero 47qt. fridge.

The Bluetti powers the fridge and we have the Bluetti plugged into the rear cig port, so that it charges while we drive.

When the truck is sitting at the shop we tend to plug the Bluetti into regular 120V power to keep the battery charged.

We can go about 3 days before the Bluetti needs to be recharged
