PPF - Remove Badges?

I'm going in for PPF next week. I'm thinking about taking the two badges (I know, people don't like them, I like the sasquatch) and keypad off before I take it down there then putting them back on over the PPF. I've seen video of PPF going on over top of the badges but that doesn't seem right. Any thoughts on how it should be done?

my installer pulled the badges, door handles, flares, etc off before doing the ppf then put everything back on

Damn, that's cheap. Wish I could get it for that up here.
I got prices around here that were quite a bit more. This guy is down in Oregon too so I don't have to send any money to our idiot governor.

This is the correct way that it should be done if you want a seamless look. Just my opinion

Just curious why your doing everything but the tailgate?
Didn't seem like it's going to take much abuse. It was clear the sides need it the first day in the rain.
