I feel like since they do it so much they're not taking as much care as the owner would. What do dealers do besides peeling stickers and washing it? My dealer has a drive-through wash with brushes, no way I'm letting that touch brand new paint.
I've bought a LOT of new cars. None of them have had swirl marks from delivery. YRMV. One had the front plate drilled when I always ask for them not to. Recent experience:
6 new Fords in the last 2 years. Zero swirls, all prepped and washed from 4 different dealers. No front plate drilled holes. Maybe it's just me and my dealer experience. You can ask them to hand wash it. Some will, some won't, some will say yes, then run it through the scratcher.

That is excellent. I didn't see it on there, but I would add pop open the fuse box and make sure all the fuses are seated properly.

I got mine with 8k miles on the ticker and 3 or 4 weren't seated properly.

Granted it's a different make, but I just got a wrangler and 12 weren't seated properly (known issue on new wranglers).
It's there.

I lucked out! Dealer did not drill front license plate and did not wash my Bronco as requested!

That's great! I'm planning on ceramic coating mine and definitely don't want it going through the dealer's drive through wash beforehand

I had NO issues with my Dealer. No license plate holes, no Dealer stickers (as requested) Bronco was detailed and polished by hand with no swirl marks and was on the showroom floor on display. One of best Dealer experiences Iā€™ve had.
Plus a full tank of gas.

The license plate advice is golden. They only added my back temporary tags, but my salesman was a bubba from the country, so I figure he gets it. Didn't know about getting it washed (only second new car).

What's a decent price for PPF and ceramic on a 2dr? šŸ’° šŸ¤”

It really depends where you are, I live in Washington DC and it was $8,000-$10,000, so I drove out to Richmond, VA 1.5 hour drive to get it done for $5500 for full PPF and ceramic. Large cities generally cost more, your best bet is to call around.

Of course, I say that and lack of mudflaps and skeletal tree limbs are driving me batty. Still, dang!

I'm personally just doing ceramic when mine arrives. It's going to be on the road more often than off, so protecting the paint from UV and dirt is more important than scratches for me. 2 door, so should be around $1,000

Almost a week later, just waiting for the ceramic to cure. Canā€™t wait to see it and pick up Monday! I had them add rough grounds, wildtrak sticker on the sides. Only $90 vs Fordā€™s $520.

Is there a place that your would recommend for ceramic coating? Iā€™m picking my Bronco up in Florida and would love to get this done.

I feel pretty confident as I am picking up at Granger. Haven't heard any issues on here this far from others. I know they won't put front brackets on and don't to crazy with add-ons.
