Thanks for the pictures. Wildtrak got the better side graphics, IMO.
Next month my dealership will have a manikin Wildtrak for me to test drive 😁

Great job! Thank you for taking the time to share.

One question, was there a BYOD rail in it?

It looks like the shot of the texture of the dash (and your hand) shows enough of the dash to see that no BYOD rail was present.

ETA: I should have looked harder, In the shot of the windshield and the VIN, absolutely no rail. I wonder what happened to this accessory that Ford hyped up so much?
Many of the accessories are still being designed and tested and modified for final production.

How many people did they allow at a time to view the Bronco? Going next Thursday to Blackwell Ford hopefully it doesn't get cancelled.
I was shocked that there was only a dozen people there, and only five of us were purchasing a Bronco. Most people actually came out to see the new Ford F150 and the Mach-E. It might’ve been that I had the first appointment at noon because at 1 PM they were telling me I had to leave while I was still crawling around underneath the bronco and when I looked up there was like a few dozen people waiting for round two lol.

I know it’s not exactly apples to apples with the doors off and a limited amount of time inside, but how would you compare the space of the interior and seat comfort to your Gladiator? In my mind they would be virtually identical but I’m hoping the Bronco feels a little roomier. Thanks for the pics!
The bronco is a Few inches wider on the interior than a gladiator and generally has a bigger cabin overall. Seat comfort is about the same, but then I actually only sat still for maybe 10 seconds lol. I was literally jumping around like a child from spot to spot.

I had the opportunity today to sit in, crawl under, climb on top of, and pretty much do my impression of a 5 year old at a auto show 😆. As someone who has owned 3500 series trucks, Wrangler, XJ Cherokee, and arrived to the Bronco event in a Gladiator and has done many frame off builds I can tell you I was thoroughly impressed with the stoutness of the Ford First Edition Bronco. The frame, chassis, suspension components, bead lock capable rims, bash plates, heavy duty steel bumpers are all over built and should be capable of standing up to lots of abuse on the trails. The Bronco makes zero compromises when it comes to being a purpose built off-road vehicle. If you are looking for a luxurious vehicle with the ability to tow a large boat while hauling five to seven people along with all their gear, then you should probably look at a full-size pickup, Ford Explorer, or Expedition. On the other hand if you are a Wrangler owner you will be pleasantly surprised and feel very much at home and comfortable in the new Ford Bronco. FORD has made us wait but in my humble opinion it will be soooo worth it! The Bronco is truly a marvel of engineering If you are looking for this kind of purpose built vehicle. I had planed to take many quality pics and videos of the Bronco but unfortunately the non Ford facility they set up for viewing the Bronco was lit about as well as a dive bar and further complicated by the brightness of the nearby floor to ceiling windows. This gave the impression at times that the Navy pier interior was light gray dark gray lol. To be honest even though I’m getting the Onyx leather for my cyber orange First Edition, as Jim Farley said to me on Twitter, the Navy pier looks much better in person than the computer rendering on FORD’s website. I think anybody getting area 51 or cactus gray or lightning blue exterior paint will go nicely with the navy pier leather interior.

A few things to remember when looking at these pictures and Videos I took today, THIS IS NOT A PRODUCTION VEHICLE, NOT FOR SALE, and when FORD is done with it it will most likely be crushed! Some of the fit and finish of body panels and interior pieces will improve. Also all First Edition Broncos will be individually numbered between 1 and 7000. I repeat each one of us who are getting a First Edition Bronco will have a individual numbered First Edition Bronco.

Ok back to our regularly scheduled program...... I have never been so excited to get a new vehicle, FORD has knocked it out of the ballpark with this one! Sure if I could wave a magic wand I would want a 1000 hp coyote motor that got 50 miles to the gallon, could haul 10,000 pounds, and had the interior space of the Doctor Who tardis 😆. I personally cannot wait to get my Bronco and start customizing it to fit my unique lifestyle. And that’s whats great about the new Ford bronco! I almost considered handing in my First Edition to buy a base model and building it up from scratch. But with all the time and testing I know FORD has put into each combination I doubt I could build a better all around Bronco for less money that would fit my needs!

Enjoy 😉

Too bad they didn't do like they did with the limited edition 50th Anniversary Mustang. 1 0f 1964 the car number was the last 4 numbers of the VIN

How was it to sit in? This is now my #1 question.
I am 5’ 11” and 180 pounds and it was very comfortable and roomy for me. Definitely have more room than a JL wrangler but not as much as a full-size pick up or expedition or Tahoe

I like seeing pics of average size people next to the bronco. It gives a real world perspective to me. I get tired of seeing the bronco by itself. Thanks for the pics
For perspective I am 5‘11“ tall and 180 pounds. The bronco has more presence than a jl wrangler but slightly smaller in relationship to a full-size pick up truck when looking at it from the front end.

The fact that referenced the Tardis in your post makes you cool in my book! 🖖🤓
Thanks for posting! Awesome pics!
I may be the first person in Bronco history to reference the Doctor Who’s Tardis while describing the Bronco 😁. Live long and prosper 😉

I really want to know what happened to the picatinny accessory rail.
Many of the accessories we saw earlier on still needed to be tested and vetted out for function and safety and thus some changes are coming before ready for sale.

Question for the off road / engineering nerds. It looks like the tow hook in one of those images is cast instead of machined/forged. Correct me if I’m wrong but cast steel is absolute dog shit for shear forces and any sort of major tow load would snap those things like they were made of wood

am I confused? Those look like mold lines
Keep in mind this is a not for sale bronco and before FORD releases anything to the public all accessories and in this case tow points will be tested for safety and durability.

Would love to know your thoughts on the interior size. I was in one yesterday and thought it felt a bit snug.
Snug compared to what you are use to possibly? I pulled up in a Jeep Gladiator and the Bronco definitely has more interior room, especially width wise. The snug feeling may come from the performance like seating. They did grip my body more than say a full-size suv or pickup.
