This is just a PSA. For a year+ I have been running my Audio Control LC 5 1300 and while it sounded good, I always felt an amp with up to 1300 watts should provide a lot more kick. I also thought I needed to have the gain set too high in order to get the sound I was looking for and had it so high at one point it was clipping. Two weeks ago I installed the LC5iPro and it was night and day. While the goal was to add a second amp for the sub, just installing the LOC and setting it up with the amp made a huge difference in the sound quality and output. For an extra $200, I would a recommend anyone consider an LOC with any similar setup.

Wait... so, you were running your line output level signals straight to the amp? Yeah, LOC - line output converter, you need one of those. PSA to everyone.

I guess I was crazy for thinking I could do this since that was one of the ways the amp could be set up. Silly me.

Yeah, I have been wiring up amps since the 90s and every single one that promised it would be cool with it... was not.

"Simple" electronics like that, with a lot of power, cause big EMF issues and isolation is difficult and too costly for (nearly?) all manufacturers to do correctly. They still make all-in-one versions because people want to believe... I've wanted to believe many times. Now, I like to keep 'em separated.
