Push notifications

How do I alleviate push notifications? I have gone into preferences and unchecked every box but still get them on my PC. It's very annoying especially in the wee hours when I forget to turn the volume down on my computer. They are always way to late anyway and most threads are a few pages long by the time I get notified so I have little interest in participating let alone wading through everything.

I'm guessing they are browser notifications. If so, Do a web search for turning off browser notifications for whatever browser you are using.

EX.
Google the following "Turn off browser notifications for Chrome" or "Turn off browser notifications for Edge" or whatever browser you have.
