This concerns me about snow as I live where there is a lot of snow.
Has anybody driven theirs in heavy and prolonged snow?
How does it handle.
I assume you put it on slippery mode in the snow.
Thanks

I don't have a wildtrak, but I have a badlands and I think they're mostly the same, suspension-wise.

Handles great in the rain, handles pretty good in the snow, regardless of which mode I put it in.

Only difference might be the tires, I think Wildtrak comes with the goodyears vs my non-squatch KO2's?

*edit* Hello neighbour, lol (Oromocto here)

Generally speaking mud-terrain tires are not designed for traction in heavy rain or snow on pavement. In addition, the Goodyear Wrangler Territory M/T tires—which is tire that comes with Sasquatch-packaged Broncos—are not 3PMSF-rated. It'll handle decently in deep snow, but on the pavement with heavy rain or snow, it won't be that great. It shouldn't be horrific by any means... very drivable. But if you are expecting fantastic performance in the snow you probably won't get it.

The Badlands and Black Diamond (non-Sasquatch) come with 3PMSF-rated all-terrain tires which should handle much better in the snow than the typical mud-terrain tires. In the case of the Black Diamond it is the General Grabber A/Tx, and for the Badlands it is the BFGoodrich KO2.

This is likely why @zombie has had a good experience in the snow so far, because he has KO2s. And one of the main factors why I personally skipped the Sasquatch package is because of the tires, as I plan to take my Bronco on ski trips throughout the winter.

get better tires (snow rated) if you want better performance in snow.

The KO2’s are a little greasy in moderate wetness, but bite better in heavier rain. Slippery nerfs your accelerator a bit and engages 4A to keep you less tail happy.

If you're worried about on road driving and snow MT tires are not the best choice. 3 peak rated AT tires are a better choice. They'll handled better in rain as well.

The important question here is -- Compared to what?

It's short wheelbase, rear wheel drive, high center of gravity -- generally it's going to handle worse than most things on the road (built in the same decade). When the conditions get awful enough to slow you down and require 4wd though, it will handle better than practically everything else

Maybe it’s your tires… I’ve got wildpeaks (35psi cold), it rains here everyday, and I’ve driven on ice with no problems.

4 door or 2 door - the shorter wheelbase seems a little more squirrelly (fun if you love driving).

Check your tire pressure too. High tire pressure reduces road contact. The difference in behavior between 37 and 35 psi on my Jeep is night and day.

I have the grabbers and they are fantastic in the snow. Not the size I want, but they are fine for now. I will jump to a 35 when i can afford them. I may even stick with the grabbers. The ride is great. They throw rocks like a sumbitch, but that is to be expected with most of the tires that come on them. I am putting the ppf on my lower doors ASAP.

I ran falken wildpeak at3 for winter on set of 17 aftermarket with 285/75/17’s and they are great in snow, slush, rain. Have two sets for my 3500 ram diesel and a set on my 02 Tacoma trd off-road as well. I sell tires and I tell anyone that these are best I’ve used and last and wear really well.
