I get it, this is a Bronco forum so the responses will be bias. That being said, just wondering how many have considered the Defender and what your thoughts are comparing it to the Bronco.
Let the games begin!

Considered it for a sec. Then thought I would never take it off road and the top does not come off.

If prices were equal? Maybe a 2 door Pangea green with white top and wheels, sure.

The fixed top of the Defender is a non-starter. Most of the miles on my Bronco will be with top off/down and many days Iā€™ll have the doors off.

FWIW, my wifeā€™s daily driver is a Range Rover diesel.

Defender top doesnā€™t come off. No go. Hard stop. Period.

I like the styling of them a bit, but if I go that direction, Iā€™d just say screw it and get a G wagon.

Iā€™ve owned 12 vehicles and 8 have been convertible/top off. Shoulda been all 12, though 4Runner and FJ are pretty kick ass non convertible autos Iā€™ve owned.

Defender is a great looking car and I did covet it but Bronco with top off was a clear winner for me.

Have you seen how narrow the back door is on the Defender? Hard no for me just because of that. The Bronco has significantly more interior room, at 6ā€™4ā€ and 320# I couldnā€™t even sit in the Defender comfortably.

We did a brief comparison before ordering the Bronco. Personally a fixed roof would likely make more sense for most of our usage but for us the biggest complaint I kept hearing about the 2dr Defender was that the electric button system to access the back seats was so slow and such a pita that it was driving owners crazy. Watch some of the YouTube videosā€¦

At the risk of possibly offending some, that looks like someone said ā€œok take the new Bronco and retool it for the European marketā€

There was a few videos on YouTube pitting them against each other. I think you may be hard pressed to find a plethora of people with extensive hands on experience with both vehicles. My experience is limited to the bronco, but with that said,

A defender is good for international football.

A bronco is a wild horse meant to be rode hard.

Not offended but the Defender has been around since 1947 so maybe the other way around.
