Don't ask me where, but recently I know I remember reading something on the forum regarding final tweaks for production, and one thing specifically mentioned was the "grain" of the vinyl and plastic surfaces. It stood out, I thought it was interesting they could change that at the last minute.Something I noticed in these when I saw them Friday was that the doors have two different patterns on the vinyl. They are close, but not the same. The vinyl on the center console was also different from these two if I recall.
I hit 90+ (maybe 99.9) mpg in my Mustang when I reset the mpg at speed and coasted, lol. Same vehicle my cat went 155 in... not me of course, because that's not legal. That's probably instant fuel economy, and there will be times when you hit that. When you're coasting from a high rate of speed like coming off the off-ramp on the freeway. But it's more annoying to "peg the meter" and wonder how much better you're actually doing.
Like that time when my car had a federally-limited speedo that maxed at 85. After pegging it, I had to count the number of seconds it stayed at 85 after I let off the gas and then estimate how much faster I was probably going. No fun. Sure glad I was able to break my land speed record in another vehicle with a proper speedo that met or exceeded the vehicles v-max speed.
Amen!!!!I pay 2.39 a gallon..the problem is you live in California..why is living in California and paying high gas taxes mutually exclusive. Why is everyone in California okay with astronomical gas taxes? We should expect less taxes..a lot less.
They have one. It's called the hood. Don't put it up and it won't be a problem.Ugh... I sure hope the put an engine shroud on there for the production models
If no one else mentioned it I would expect it to be hours/minutes/seconds.Nice pics. I have always wondered if the clock with the dash info is the total time the bronco has been on because if we are looking at 25 days, 14 hr, 38 min? If that is true and they only drove 1079 or 1086 miles in all that time then the bronco has be left idling for a pretty long time meaning the 15.8mpg would not be an accurate representation of mpg.
Thanks Captain Obvious. They have one. It's called the hood. Don't put it up and it won't be a problem.
ApparentlyThanks Captain Obvious.
Best pictures so far. You hit every detail. Heck, even the underside of the mirror which I'd never seen before.Went to the Bronco Showcase at Kansas Rocks Recreation Park today. Got access to put my hands on a Bronco for the first time, definitely met my expectations. Both were 4-door, both Badlands non-squach, both had soft tops.
Plenty of room in the front seat, I'm 5'11", had the drivers seat somewhere in the middle. I did fit in the back seat with the front seat all the way back (see in pics).
MPG 1000+ miles was at 15.8. Rep said it was a pre-production model so it could change slightly.
The one thing that surprised me was the marine grade vinyl seats. I opted for the leather trimmed seats (because I had to have heated seats) but the vinyl seats were great. Looked good, had a pleasant texture, all around very nice.
The reps were awesome, answered all of the questions they could. Had a great presentation, took off doors for anyone who wanted to see, folded up the tops,... All around a great experience. My friend had to drag me away.
I was at the Los Angeles event on Saturday. Pretty warm day, in the low 80's. There was a BD there and the vinyl was HOT. Very, very hot. This was around noon. YMMV.How hot did the mgv feel after baking in the sun?
Firm, but glorious. I'm gonna say it won't get wrinkled and saggy with time because it's pulled pretty tight before the stitch it.What was your impression of the MGV when you sat on them vs the Leather seats? My local dealer only had the leather seats and I am ordering the MGV. Was it stiff or comfortable?
As a kid, my Dad's car was a convertible with black vinyl seats. I'm sure I still have scars on my back from the chrome accent in the seatback.I was at the Los Angeles event on Saturday.
