Radio (GMRS/HAM/CB) Installations

I know there are a few threads on radios in the forums but I'd like to start this thread for a spot to document installations. I've been trying to figure out how to mount my Wouxun KG-1000G and antenna. I am planning on mounting the face plate above the driver side visor and the mic bracket just above the aux switches.

I'm trying to figure out how to route the ethernet cable down to the floor without damaging too much.

Also trying to figure out how to get the antenna to the rear tail gate.

Would like to find a bracket I can mount off of the spare tire mount to mount the antenna.

As I figure it out, I'll post pictures and instructions. I hope others will do the same.

Interested in this as well. Ideal situation I am looking to mount a dual band VHF/UHF ham antenna on one trail sight and a gmrs on on the other. Then eventually add a an HF antenna in the rear, probably a tarheel or something. Of course where do I mount 3 radios without filling up the dash and cable management are whole other issues.

Then again I haven't been scheduled yet, so haven't gotten anything really planned out yet. Switched my order to Softtop and prep kit, so maybe soon. Then again may not want to leave radios in truck with softtop, or at least a pricy HF one, so that might be a 2023 problem.

Just finished the rough fabrication of my antenna bracket. Still need to straighten it a bit, grind, sand, paint. Will also be adding some rubber to the back side just to be safe. I'll post more pics this weekend when I get time to clean it up.

I've been trying to think about how to get my Yaesu into the Bronco. So far, I think I have a handle on getting my rig runner into the cab but I'm not 100% sure where I want to put it. All the usual places seem to be pretty cramped to me.

I like your solution too. I might also run a line and add a port like that for HF POTA activations setups in the future. Might even do that just to have a constant on port for a fridge in the rear.

I use that thing to power my compressor, which I have in a toolbox I carry in the back. I can plug my FT-817 into it, as well, so POTA activations is a great idea - I am going to have to do that, too!
