Good evening!
I have a radio question on a recently installed Midland MTX275 radio.
Whenever I have the parking break off (like, all the time), the squelch just doesn’t work. I adjust the Sq setting (after many double-checks), to no avail. It’s as almost as if it’s in monitor mode (normal radio transmissions come through just fine..). As soon as I put on the parking break, squelch kicks on and works as perfectly expected. (Set it back down to 4/5 after trying “9”).
Power-wise, I’m connected up through AUX #6, and grounded to the a large ground in upper right top engine compartment (it was there already, just snuck my ground in…).
Thoughts?
