Just wanted to know if the rain pooling on the front end of my factory soft top will likely cause an issue. Is it supposed to happen? It's really not much, about a cup of water fills the area. I imagine it could get worse over time.

Exactly why many of us are "never-softoppers".

You should not have any problems from a leaking or degradation standpoint, but if a small puddle remains for too long or if it keeps pooling there over and over, it will stain the top . . . I have seen it many times.

Why my 90k Ranger bass boat is in a garage and not outside in a sagging mosquito breeding ground. Also why I don't have my build/don't want a soft top.

Wouldn't worry about it. Any stains you get should wipe off. My Jeep top did this all the time and it was never an issue.

Even if they were large puddles and the weight was a concern for stretching, by the time it was to a point it was really a problem the top would probably be worn out from normal use and sun damage. Soft tops are wear parts and do need to be replaced, but this is not abnormal in owning one.
