So dies your winch line pull down on the fairlead then?
It does angle down, so I mounted the bottom of a steel roller fairlead to the back side. So far it seemed to do really well. No worse than if you were doing a sideways pull with just a haws fairlead and synthetic line.

Thanks! I get lucky sometimes.. 😂

I had originally planned on doing one for the rear winch, but just didn't quite have enough space. That one also goes up and over the rear frame member a little bit, hasn't seem to cause me any problems.

That is not luck... that is logic.

😁 That should be my motto! LOL

Also I forgot to mention my original plan was to run the rear winch reverse so the line came over the top. I read about too many potential side effects and changed my mind. I had thought about doing it on the front as well.

Few questions, how did you go about mounting the winch and what rear bumper are you running, what is the winch rated at, and could you spin the winch around and and have the line come in and roll in from the top vs the bottom.

saw this monstrosity on our way to Nashville a few weeks ago! Those are the biggest wheels I’ve ever seen on a street-worthy vehicle. #mallcrawler.

Sorry apparently this never posted the other day.

It's the APG winch plate, I'm using it with my factory Steel bumper. Was kind of a pain to mount the Fairlead, but I wasn't going to buy the $2,000 bumper they recommend. Would definitely be a lot easier with pretty much any aftermarket bumper that is flat in the spot behind the spare tire. I'm using the Warn M8000-S. I tried a couple of Badland winches but couldn't get them to fit right.

I was trying to remember why I didn't mount it reverse the other day, and now I'm thinking when you mount it that way the line on top runs into the bar that goes across the winch. Could be a work around for it but I decided this was okay.

Does the rear cross member not interfere with the winch line, or how much clearance is there I just don’t want to have to notch out the rear cross member to get it all to work. Thanks

Yes it does interfere somewhat. My winch line goes up and over that crossmember. It has not caused me any issues in about a year and a half of hard use. To me it kind of acts just the same as a haws fairlead, it's a very smooth radius that hasn't hurt the line at all.
