This is more of a cross shopping post. Ford Ranger 2022. Hopefully not a repost.

https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/thre...-hybrid-raptor-release-timing-carexpert.6871/

Its interesting how it may be optioned. Possible Hybrid system from Escape PHEV , Manual Transmission, 2.7 V6. Would be good to see the coil spring setup from the Bronco. Probably not likely as it would loose its 7500lbs towing capacity.

? on the second picture what is that system in front of the rear tire. It looks like some tubing entering it and some sort of adjustment system.

I own a 2011 Ranger XL, the last generation of that Ranger with a 2.3 L manual. Its an extended cab not a super cab. I am disappointed the extended cabin does not sell well, so you can not option it like the super cab. ie the Tremor. I have no need for the extra back seats. The Bronco interest me more for loading it up with gear. Plus my XL Ranger has a mostly flat floor for my dog. The new one has a stepped up section with bins under the seat.

I've said it before but a 2.7L Ranger with a BadSquatch-like off-road package would fit my needs just as well as the Bronco. Which one can they get to me more quickly?

I'm frustrated with my potential 2 year wait from reservation date. This isn't a vehicle I need, just one I want.

I have found myself thinking about options if I finally just say I have had enough.

I'm looking at these:
Ranger Tremor or Ranger Black Widow.

My son and I even went as far as going to look at the black widow. 15k on top of the donor Ranger is a bit much, but they are cool as heck.
I could have the Black widow today. That's what eats at me.

Thanks I have never seen the Black Widow. Who modifies it. Does it come from Ford.

Looks like a kill switch and some sort of connector (for what, I don't know)... Just typical test mule stuff.

People talk about how big the Ranger has become. Here's some interesting comparisons. The 2011 is an Extended Cab. The 2019 is a Crew Cab. Interesting that the box is 21% larger with it being a foot shorter then the last Gen.

But it looks like a Colorado/Hilux.

Emergency fuel shutoff. There's probably an emergency battery cutoff crudely placed on the dash as well, in form of a big red button.

Mules are notoriously shitty. There's always something breaking, most of the time not related to what they're testing.

Yes I have seen those big Red Buttons on the Bronco test Mules. Makes sense now.
