Looks really good. Until today I thought it looked kind of dated and boring. Well it looks beautiful at dusk and pretty good full sun. It's brighter red than I thought looking at pictures and has a very subtle.. Warmth to it but it was probably the metallic flake reflecting the sunset.

I've finally found how to describe Velocity Blue. It has a bit of torquise in it, I think. It's not for me. Under full sun it looks less so but at sunset it reminded me of my buddy's Ford Escort wagon in torquise, just the updated color for the 2020s. It looks better in the picture than it did in real life.

Oxford White is just what I thought it'd be. Not quite commercial flat white but a dash of either metallic or pearl, hard to tell. It's fine for a white and it's better than commercial white.

Oh and look at the beautiful Thunderbird I was told. He was the second owner as of the mid 1990s and it had factory A/C... A $500 option he said, way back when. Big money.

I really like Rapid Red. I had a Cayenne Red Xterra for 7 years and want to do something different this time around.

Pictures like this and the ones from the Arizona parking lot really put that to the test though.

Too purple for my taste. Any purple is too much for me. Love race red, but not offered on base.... Ended up with v. blue
The deeper reds always ends up burgundy looking, looks dated after a while

Beautiful shots! I get more excited to see Rapid Red in the wild, because the CGI renderings were all drawn with some parameter set to 'overcast' 'partial solar eclipse'- the colors are gloomy compared to the real thing.

Lifeliberty, I'm sensitive to the purple thing as well, but I don't see it in Rapid Red, at least not as prominent as in, say, Ruby Red from the Ford palette a few years back. The purple reds do seem to be tired and dated just a few years later, and being non-metallic doesn't help the cause. I'm seeing an orange undertone here, surely the setting sun contributes to that! The kicker for me is the pop of the tinted clearcoat. I think of Mazda's signature Soul Red, which still turns my head every time I see it, even after 6 years in the market. I suppose that's what I want Rapid Red to be, and I choose to see what I want to see ?.
