Ready for a change - plan to swap out my Rubicon for a Ranger or Bronco. At MSRP this would be an easy decision for me - save the roughly 35K and go with Ranger Raptor. However things get very interesting with the current Rebates/Discounts on the Bronco. Got a couple quotes - 58K plus TTL for Ranger. 72k plus TTL for the Bronco (using Z plan for Bronco - Z not available on Ranger). Forum thoughts? Thanks for the opinions!
Huge rebates on Bronco Raptor A/Z and D plan.

Yeah I feel sorry for the folks that spent 25,000 over MSRP and now you can get a Braptor for $25,000 under so it's about $50,000 difference in 16 months Maybe

Honestly, anyone who will pay $25k ADM to have the latest and greatest toy is setting themselves up to get nailed financially.

To me there are just too many solid vehicles out there to ever do this. If what you want is that expensive, find something else that works for you or wait 6 to 12 months to see what the market does.

Naive question, but isn’t the width/stance on the RR and BR the same? I haven’t really checked out the RR specs but I’d figured as much mostly since they’re made in same factory and would make sense for Ford to use same parts/platform to realize production efficiencies.

We have both a Ranger Raptor and a Bronco Wildtrak. Love them both about the same, bad ass vehicles. Bronco Raptor is in. In no way shape or form is it worth the extra $35,000. To boot it has the same exact engine as the Ranger Raptor. Wildtrak 2.7 is plenty powered with 35ā€ā€™ā€™s as stock.
I was planning on getting Ranger Raptor because I thought the Bronco Raptor would be $35K more but all said and done I got a new 2023 for like $16K more and in my opinion the Bronco was worth $16K more. I have no regrets and glad I got the Bronco Raptor it is after all my 3rd Bronco.

Totally agree, I could of had a Bronco 6 months earlier but I was not going to pay ADM. Doing that is not a good idea, you better have a bunch of money if you pay an ADM.

I've driven a couple versions of the Raptor. Best bang for the buck: Ranger. Most capable: Bronco. Favorite: Gen I. Preferred color....Oxford White.

I’m currently running my third F-150 raptor, a gen3 37 pee pee model with all the boxes selected. So there will be a little bias on my suggestion.

That said, between the two it would be Ranger Rappy all the way. Sure the braptor looks cool, but it felt like a slug, (I should add that my rappy is running big boi injectors on E85 and can keep up with Raptor R with good ethanol) the braptor interior is low quality, it’s noisy in an annoying way, and the seats suck. Yes, the regular bronco suffers from the same flaws, but for $4000 in upholstery and cooling options you can fix the seats, and another $8000 for a top you’ll solve the wind noise and still be way ahead of the Braptor if you don’t care about trade-in values or resale. Not as much as an issue with the Ranger Raptor.

Nope, very different animals. The Ranger Raptor has 33" tires on it and is only 79" wide. The crazy wide stance is unique to the Bronco.

Interesting. Leave it to Ford not to capitalize on economies of scale but I’m sure they had their ā€œreasonsā€. But obviously guys love the design. Factory 37’s would’ve been cool on a truck in that segment though.

I'd guess it had as much to do with keeping the Ranger Raptor more affordable and as a sort of "entry-level" vehicle to get into the Raptor family. It's still a hell of a truck for the money, especially when you consider everything you get for quite a bit under $60K MSRP (and considering the sky high MSRP of the Bronco Raptors).

I think they also wanted/needed to price it comparatively to the Tacoma TRD Pro and the Colorado ZR2 (and the Bison costs quite a bit more running into the $60K range).

In a way, the Ranger Raptor pricing shows just how arguably over-priced the Broncos are with thier $90K+ MSRP now. The Bronco doesn't really have any direct comparison however except maybe a Rubicon 392 (which is also laughably over priced).

After spending a little time in both vehicles on Saturday. Loved both of them and I dont think there is a right or wrong choice. We ultimately went with the Ranger. As one person pointed out - this really isnt an apples to apples comparison - but for us it sort of was. Raptors are "wants"- not "needs" - vehicles. And both the BR and RR are overkill for any of the off roading we will do. Subjective differences - I liked the BR interior better - wife liked the RR. I thought the RR was more fun to drive, the wife like the BR. End of the day - both are awesome and it came down price - even with Z plan and rebates the BR would run about 16K more (plus an additional $1500 in taxes). And to us - both vehicles were equally fun in their own unique ways.

One takeaway - IMO - either the BR is way over priced at over 90K MSRP or the RR is under priced in the high 50s MSRP. Maybe a little of both??

Nice! And a good look I will say. For whatever reason, that doesn’t look stock height (guessing it’s lifted).

As an early order, I’ve always been satisfied with the flare contrast against white. But now as I see more and more new ones on the road, will say painted flares are growing on me.

Thanks! No lift just stock! I have always liked the contrast of black flares also and been very pleased with the Oxford White. We off road so I never wanted painted flares. I agree with you also the more I see the painted flares the more I like them. If I did not off road I would probably go with painted but that is a moot point since I off road.
