Any clue if there is a plan or at least a "plan of a plan" to fix the windows on the soft top? Everything we have seen so far has those very noticeable waves and wrinkles in the side windows. Rear windshield in the soft top doesn't seem to be as bad as the side windows, but still not tight enough to look decent.

I’m still waiting on my in store order to change on the reservation/order page on Ford. No vin, no production date, nada. But I got a poster and sticker to ease my frustration 🙄 I converted to an order 2/5

Conversion date is essentially irrelevant. What was your reservation date?
(I have the same build, but am almost certain to be a 22 with a late July reservation at a dealer with a lot of orders.)

Any rumors about a ‘business solution’ to MIC tops? example: buy soft top now, get MIC later for $X.
that would a novel idea if Ford allowed that across all trims….hello Ford - FE & Wildtrak……

You have my exact build... My dealer had said that just switching to soft top would greatly increase my odds of getting my car before 2023... So I did. Still waiting for my build date...
2023!?! What was your reservation date?

I was a dual top order, but shit canned that. For the MIC, but I have been considering going soft just so I could possibly take delivery sooner and because of the shit show that the MIC has turned into. However, I am worried about the cold living in a northern climate.

It doesn't matter when you converted to an order at this point. Only thing order date was for is if you didn't get an order in by 3/19 you weren't eligible for a build date during the first 90 says of production. Only things that matter is reservation timestamp (kinda), dealer allocation (sorta), deadly sins (mostly), and how much luck favors you.

Forgive my ignorance but not being familiar with the auto industry, how many shifts per day and how many days per week? If the number of convertees is something like 100,000, we who have been promised a 2021 delivery are going to be disappointed,
Two per day with Saturdays coming online earlier than expected.

This will probably get lost in the sea of questions, but I seem to have heard something about rock rails being another source of slow production on certain models as well. My Bronco was "produced" on 7/1 (6/30 blend date) according to the vehicle visibility tracker, but then on 7/24 the rock rails were added to the order change history. I have a Black Diamond, so rock rails are standard on my order. Are rock rails now a bottleneck as well?

@Ford Motor Company needs to replace Mike Levine with @PREMiERdrum

Thanks for the continued flow of information!
I'm not sure what his actual sources are but there's no way Ford wants to do anything differently. Right now the rabid dogs on the forum are somewhat placated with the trickle of information and that's good enough.

Ford would never put this info out and by having this alternative source they have plausible deniability as to the info (it's just some guy on a forum which is just below "rampant rumor" in the publicity range).

Full speed ahead and on to stealership lots at 20k markup.

Meanwhile….Ford in 2018. “Is there any reason to think people would want a soft top on a 2 door?……….nah”

A question, for your question..

I'm not in the "have a build date" club so you'll have to excuse my ignorance on the matter. Can you share how you're able to check the roder change history for your vehicle?

So as a 2 door order, first evening reservation with no build date as of yet, and a dealer with a small allocation, even at #4 on the list out of 18 allocations, I'm probably not going to see it this year am I???
I think it will revolve around other possible constraint items on your order. The Bronco specialist at my dealer is saying that 19% of the total 2drs ordered will be built in '21. If your 2dr is a FE it will be built. If it is a Wildtrak, lux or Sas you may have to wait. Buildable units will be scheduled first.

I would actually pay more for a soft top at this point since the mics seem to be trash and are why my truck is rotting 5 hours away on a lot
MIC may be trash but the soft top is a trash bag. Pick your poison.

I work for Ford, but in the service division. I have access to a lot of the backend trackers, but I am not in the know for the production side of things. If you are friendly enough with your dealer they can show you everything as well.

@PREMiERdrum. just a little fun math below...
shifts per day 2
days per week 5-6
weeks left in the year 22
Broncos built per shift 330 - 385
Broncos built for the rest of 2021 approximately 85,800.
I expect this might be a little high. I used 715 per day(550 per shift, 2 shifts, 65% of those being Broncos), 6 days a week for 20 weeks. I bet that it will be more like 19 weeks because of Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Absolute low end might be 72,000. (660 per day 5 and then 6 days per week for 19 weeks) or a little less. Right in there for what Ford predicted. @Ford Motor Company

How many have been built and delivered to Dealers so far? No idea. I am sure that raw data is here on B6G somewhere.

@PREMiERdrum, glad you are loving your Bronco. Also, for peoples info, my dealer said top defects and things like that are a part of "fit and finish" and these things should be brought to the attention of the dealer in the first 6 months.
