Just got home from my first longish trip in my 2door non-sas BD 2.7. Traveled 252 miles round trip with 90% hilly interstate driving through the white mountains at cruise controlled 70mph, and 10% snowy back roads at probably 30mph average. Stopped probably 5-6 times on the trip. Half of the interstate drive was very windy.

Got 20.2 MPG reported on the dash for the trip. Also verified with a hand calc that showed 20.36 MPG.

Very early on we drove 5ish hours all loaded up with a Yakima roof platform and Thule roof box and trailer platform from NY to VT in our 2dr 2.7 OBX. I drove eco mode the whole way and I was cruising at high 18s most of the way until I hit VT. I ended up at 16.8 that trip and many thousands of miles later (17k) I’m still at 16.8 mpg. The only time I check my mpgs now is when there is a thread like this.

I honestly don’t believe anything above 20mpg. Maybe I’m a bit bias with 4d it just doesn’t seem realistic atm unless your going never above 2 rpm ever.

I've had mine a little over a year, 11,765 miles. During the summer months I was getting 17.8 mpg, when they swapped to winter gas it dropped to 16.8, running 87 octane. 90% of mine is city driving. I ran mid grade for a couple of weeks just to see if it made any difference and it didn't, so I went back to 87.

2 door stock automatic badlands with 91 octane gets me 18.5 with 11,500 miles. Mostly city driving and usually fast.
