Would you be comfortable with water going down into this and not causing potential issues long-term? I see your point, but at the same time, it doesn't seem like a good idea to allow much water into this.

Just have to be careful when washing out I guess.
That doesn't look like a good situation at all. Feel like water will pool in there

Question:

1) how many people on here have ever been in a situation where they were fording with the doors off and the water came over the door sill?

(I know I haven’t.)

2) how many people intend to leave the hose running long enough that an inch plus of water pools in the floor pan?

Oh so it’s not just a tube like on every other vehicle in existence? That’s a dumb move on Fords part when this could have been so easily integrated. Why they made that so unclean is seriously a head scratcher.
Technically this was on pre-production and it could be refined... But the brand manager and the articles have me thinking this is final.

If I have the option to hose the inside out after getting mud, sand etc then I will. It's not about getting an inch of water, it's about the fact that it seems that any kind of hosing out will have water going into the ac vent where it looks like it will pool.

Nope, vents are the same in both models unfortunately.
There is plenty info out there claiming no rear vents for 2 door, where have you seen there is vents in the 2 door?

Most topics have been beaten to death on here. Add to the conversation or move along. it's that's simple
Beating it more is not adding anything new to the conversation either. Neither is your comment. If people can complain for 10 pages about vents, steel wheels, colors, etc. I can comment too.

I am not too worried either way I have a couple drill bit sets to fix any issue. And if its some real issue, there will be aftermarket support to extend them up or block off.

Hopefully there is a fix. Just makes me wonder what the Ford engineer's were thinking to place a vent in that place and still talk about how we can wash it out easily.

Lol. There is no vent in that photo. It’s a rough cutout where a vent could go, in a Franke-bronco. Ford has said multiple times no rear ac vents in the 2 door.
