Admittedly I have two rough kids in boosters, but I’m having an issue with the rear seat belts. They simply aren’t retracting anymore. The upper will retract slowly if I feed it into the panel.

I’ve checked and there is no kink in the belt. Anyone have an easy fix? Anyone experienced this?

My fronts were doing that. Turns out the hanger needed some cleaning out.

Tried with q-tips and some alcohol with no luck. Then grabbed my multi-blade feeler gauge out of the toolbox and ran a blade above and below the belt thru the hanger. Fixed it right up. You may need to clean the belt as well if there's kid muck on it.

I also had 2 buckles that would not spring back when pressed causing the belts to come undone randomly. Wrapped in a rag then used alcohol/q-tips to clean until it got moving right again. You kinda have to pour some in to get it fully clean - thus the need for the rag to soak up what comes out of the bottom. Finished with some silicone lube spray. So far, so good.
