Rear seat belts flapping violently in the wind. Is there a fix?

The weather finally warmed up and I got the top and doors off my bronco. I love it – EXCEPT The wind catches the rear seat belts and causes them to violently flap back-and-forth. It’s very loud and noticeable. The speed it occurs at it is variable, depending on outside wind.

I tried to buckle the seatbelt in to see if that would prevent it, but it did not stop it.

Has anyone figured out an easy fix for this?

I also had problems with the wind lifting up the OEM Ford bronco all-weather floor mats in the back seat. So I just removed those and left them in my garage.

I just roll up the rear windows about 2-3” and it solves it

That always works great when the doors are off.

My StickerFab seatbelt holsters aren’t sticking anymore after about 12 days of light use. Not sure I’d recommend.

😔
I had one of my Stickerfabs fall off the other day. Haven't used em much. I pushed it back on but I'm concerned, as you are, that the VHB tape may not adhere well enough long term for that surface.

Buy some of that 3m grey tape yourselves. Could be an issue with the one they used. You can tape a person to a brick wall with that stuff. I would definitely try again with fresh tape. You can get it at lowes or auto stores

Sure. I have several rolls of VHB tape laying around. I'd just like to see if its a continual issue before i try to remove the VHB tape to replace it.

Issue could be what your dealer wiped down the plastics with.
At this point, are you going to let the tape win? Or are you going to make the tape do its job?

I used those seat belts pads that just Velcro around the strap. Bought a set of 4 from Amazon for like $10.00.

Did the same thing for each of my old Wranglers over the years and always forget to pull them off when I sell it.

Seriously? Like mentioned earlier, buckle the fucking things. You didn't really need the internet to walk you through that one did you?
