Did you get that in as one piece or did you have to do it in two? Also did you support the front near the seats?

This is the fit of the back mat for the 4-door bronco in my 2-door. The fit is just right to the contour of the back. I added it to have an area that I can put wet muddy stuff from hunting and fishing. The part by the tail gate still has some memory from the shipping and will flatten out just fine once some heat hits it.

Cheers,

HD
I was wondering about the fit of the 4-dr Bronco back mat, looks pretty good. I just might have to get one.

Nuked my back seats on my 2-Door and made a deck from wood to fit the contour. The deck fit just fine from the front to the back with out bolting down. Between the bolt tops, side seatbelt brackets and the rear tailgate lip it just fit level. Covered in a Lowes outdoor 5x7 rug cut down to fit. I have a working trapdoor that just needs just cut out that the carpet is still covering. Simple KISS design. Had to unbolt the speaker to get it through the back door.

Cheers,

This is EXACTLY what I want to do with mine. Can you message me information, possibly? Need the details! My guy can do this, but details would be helpful! I will take down what I can from the rest of this thread. Looks perfect!

You did an amazing job! You could prolly sell this as a kit, or, at least a DIY Template project. I really like that it's not bolted down. Nicely done!!
If he did sell this as a kit, I would definitely be ordering it!!!!

I built my platform for my 2 door Wildtrack. I am not deleting the seats. It turned out really well, and was pretty easy. Now my cargo area is level.

Ok...here ya go:

First pic shows platform with the full cargo length rubber dimond zee mat on top: (provides padding when crawling around in there)

Second pic shows carpeted platform:

Third pic shows carpeted underside of platform with 5" legs.

Over all of that, I installed the Mabett cargo/pet liner. I installed grommets in the cargo liner, and bungee them to the GPCA Quick Release T-Handles.

Makes for easy clean-up (grass and dirt from golf shoes, bag, battery operated caddy cart, etc.). Able to stow small things under the platform (roof panel bag, foldable shovel, first aid kit, golf balls, etc).

See...it happened!

What are the dimensions of the platform?

Plywood dimensions: 3/4” board cut to 20”x18” (they’ll do it for you at many hardware stores)
Marine grade carpet $12
These legs purchased from Amazon: https://amzn.to/3mN7gQY
Going to give this a shot. Thanks!

I see Amazon doesn't have a 5 inch option. Is that right?

Man you did a great job on that. To the untrained eye it could pass for OEM.....very clean install.

I am building mine now,my question is has anyone removed the rear seat belts that the retractor is under the rear side panel ? I will never install seats again but still don't want to cut them.

Love it.

Not sure I'd give up instant rear seats to gain 4" of 'flatness' in the rear area.

Ordered the brand new @Mabett 2door seat back covers... and see that as a better compromise.

It drives me nuts that 3/4 of the people that criticize the 2 door's rear storage are clueless about how to properly fold down the rear seats.

Most do it just like a moar-door... pop the seat backs and flop them down.

If you do that... it looks like this:

Ford Bronco Rear Seat Delete, DIY Platform 2-Door img_1759-640x480

If you follow the right steps:

1. Lift rear seat bottoms forward.

2. Rotate rear seat bottoms to the backs of the front seats.

3. Pull release of rear seat back to fold the headrest 90°.

4. .. THEN.. fold the rear seat backs flat like the moar-doors.

Then it looks like this.

Ford Bronco Rear Seat Delete, DIY Platform 2-Door images (17)

There is still a 4" step up to backs of the rear seats... but, most importantly... the seat backs are as flat as the rear cargo area.

With the new seat back protectors from @Mabett and a cargo floor protector, I don't see an advantage to removing the rear seats.

If you absolutely need it perfectly flat.. then pull the rear seats.

If you think you may ever possibly have a 3rd or 4th person in your Bronco, then giving up 4" and your 2 stowed seats to make your cargo floor even flatter.. then it makes no sense to me at all.

Ulimately, your decision is yours, but at least fold the seats down PROPERLY at least once before you make the decision to delete that rear seat. Just sayin-... ✌
