I'm thinking I'd like to remove the rear seats on my 4 door Outer Banks when I get it but am not sure if its something that can be done easily or if it will be a real process. Any ideas?
Thanks mods for relocating this thread.

I believe its like 4-6 bolts. Cant be any more difficult than removing my rear seats in my f150.

Ask the guy who has access to the maintenance manual, but I am betting it is about 8 bolts in various pain in the ass to reach places.

They are bolted down. Itā€™s not a quick release, but ā€œsimpleā€ if youā€™re taking them out and leaving them outā€¦ and then totally reversible.

There are already some threads on this exact question with some pictures from the factory of what the bolts look like once the seats are removed, and discussions about leveling out the floor.

YES! It will be a process if you want a level area. Yes, it will be 100% worth doing if you want more organized protected interior storage for gear. Please - if you get to start working on your Bronco before others....share the experience. I intend to share what I will learn as soon as I am able to climb inside and begin the glorious modification of my badlands over-landing interior.
Ride hard and enjoy the process to make it your Bronco.

I will want to level the area if I'm able to remove the seats without a lot of undue trials.

Just realized that the four-door rear seats are different than the 2-door rear seats. In the 2-door you could pull the seat bottoms and have a flat floor while leaving the seat backs. In the Ford or you're going to have to remove the entire seat because of the way that it works and then you're going to put something else in there to fill that space.

If I remember correctly, the seat brackets are held down by studs, not bolts. Not a show stopper as you'll probably want to build some sort of platform to have a flt surface front to back anyway. Thats my plan at least

Goose Gear will have the solution for you. The owner just posted a video on Instagram a few days ago and in it he mentioned their plan to bring their system to the Bronco. They are waiting like the rest of us to get their hands on one. They can be pricey, but it is a proven system. If you are handy, you can likely build your own solution. But then it might look like you built your own. šŸ˜‰
