I haven’t had my rear soft windows in for weeks. The rear window specifically has been lying against my garage wall in a buckled state, if that makes sense.

Went to clip it in and it’s so stiff I can’t stretch it up to clip in.

Any good way to fix this quickly?

Bring it inside and set it next to a heater vent for a couple hours.
Thank you! Makes sense and will try it.

A hair dryer should also be useful.

Make sure the front 2 latches above the windshield aren’t latched when you try to buckle the rear window.
I also find that lifting the front portion of the top to a 90* helps a lot.

Pulled down on the back of soft top while trying to clip at same time...I'm guessing you have the IAG soft top assist..

Cold is the enemy of car and boat plastic windows. Below freezing, they can even shatter upon impact. All the advice you've getting here about warm windows is important. Never fold them, the creases will form premature cracks. Lay flat between towels or roll up to store. You can have a canvas shop make replacement windows. Thick windows that don't wrinkle and look cool are hard to install, too stiff in the cold. Windows that comply will be thin and wrinkly-wavy looking. Finally, UV light destroys plastic windows, so don't expect them to last beyond 3-5 years if the car is not garaged. If you start looking for magic sprays to clean them or restore them, they're on their last legs IME. Find a canvas shop or buy new.

They're about 1/8" too short. Good news is that once in, they don't come out! Pop your top open to position 1, warm them as you can, prepare for swearing. Mine go in once each year, and out once. That's it.

Hi all thanks for the replies the window finally smoothed out and I got it in. I’ll keep em through winter as they’ll get scratches more I assume and maybe get new ones in the spring. 350 for a new back window only though? Damn

We use this to remove scratches on the helicopter windows. I used it with a DA Buffer on soft top windows and it worked really well. I laid them out on a blanket and buffed them on the floor.
