This will be my first vehicle with an exposed spare tire on the back. Assuming I don't want a cover, what's the best way to protect it from the Texas sun? Treatment? Periodic rotation?

Not quite the same level of exposure but I hear you. May be a non-issue.I’m not being a smart ass but I’ve never done anything to the other 4 that are exposed to the same elements
the covers available in the accessories have the hole for the cameraThe camera location is pretty annoying.. it will have to be moved to fit a trash/utility bag on the spare tire.
I do prefer to cover the spare tire on my trucks, mostly because the bag is useful for dirty stuff I don't want in the cab. just rotate it in to the mix with the other 4 tire and your fine.
No doubt there will be relocation kits out shortly for it.
I believe the rear camera comes right out of the center so you don’t want to cover that.
What's next? Flying cars?
