Will they be effective in the hot desert summer? I'd like to hear the engineering rationale for placing cooling vents on the floor. As I recall, hot air rises and cold air sinks. It can't sink far when the vent is already on the floor. Hope the vents are large enough to fit my big toe. Back seat passengers may need to wear flip flops. Call me confused in Tucson.

My 76 Bronco doesn’t have AC and it was my daily driver here in Ga for 10 years. Those wing windows and the “firewall” vent door were all I had on a rainy day To get air in there. No way in the world you could defog the windows.... just carry a towel for that.

so I could care less about floor vents in the rear.

Just saying a 44 year old car shouldn't be an excuse for a brand new one to not have a feature.
My point in the original post is that this is a new vehicle and should at least have the same or better features to it's competitor. (which for the most part it excels in, but still)

Of all of the things that has pissed me off since launch, rear ac vents are dead last.

You're right.

Since seeing them, I've been trying to figure out how I would reroute it for my kid's car seat (landed on using a section of corrugated landscaping pipe zip-tied to the back of the front seat). Kind of sucks to do that on a new car...
Never used this but keep seeing it mentioned: The Noggle.

It isn't clear yet if this will be offered as one of the 200 available options, but I am happy to send a pair to anyone who would like one for the low low price of $99.95 (does not include install).

Ford Bronco Rear vents for A/C Air Conditioning in 4 Door Bronco Are Located Under Front Seats 3z0h9g9zfv741

Honestly, I think its a genius solution from Ford's engineers.

Just took the kids out for a ride and they were "cold". I cranked up the heat full blast and nothing was coming out under the back seat vents. Is there a trick to getting heat to the back?

Did you set it to the floor vents and not just the mid-range?

This should go over well on the board.

Hey, congratulate them. They at least used the search function!

We were in 100+ weather today at the Off-Roadeo and my wife was in the back while we had the Max A/C on. She eventually cooled down but I didn't even think to change the settings to include floor vents

Any others have experience on rear seat AC/Heat? This is such a strange choice by Ford

Exact same here tonight in cold cold 🇨🇦.
I started reading online articles and everything mentioned "Rear A/C vents only available in the 4dr".

Well for the heck of it I turned on the A/C and still nothing.....

Anyone else figure this out?
