Wow that’s wild. Do you think the wind picked up something and hit it? Cause if it was only the wind that’s some crappy materiel Ford is using. I know we have all sorts of crap in the yard from the winds that blew thru.

It looks like it was just wind, I didn’t see any FOD inside it when I cleaned it out, and you can see the window flexing just before it folded

Wow, I was thinking soft top from the title. How thin is Ford spec'ing their glass? I have read plenty about busted front windows but not back glass.

Ummm, wind did that? Any big hail? Was it a tornado? Or is that maybe a defect?
Hoping it’s a “defect” so ford will warranty it and I don’t have to go through insurance. Wasn’t a tornado and no hail damage either

So I had a similar experience with the sun roof on my BMW.
It “spontaneously “ shattered while driving. Luckily the sun visor was closed! Nothing hit it. The photos I took for the insurance company showed the glass was “blown out” as opposed to “in”. It was covered under warranty.

the way it was explained to me was the sunroof glass was set improperly in the metal frame and was “under stress “ from day 1 and the wrong vibration or shock carried up to the sunroof and it just shattered. This happened in the first year I had the bimmer.

I wish I knew lol, I know the storm was moving along at 60mph, but I didn’t pay attention to what the actual winds were
