Was just watching another Sema video and saw this Bronco. The rear windows look pretty smooth. Pretty much every soft top I have seen has the wavy rear windows. Wonder what they did to smooth them out.

You don't. They are wavy by design so you can lift the rear for access.

I read a while ago that someone had a trick for taking up the slack. Not sure how well it worked, or for how long.

those are smooth because that is not ford's soft top... that one's made by bestop. It's an aftermarket soft top that you could buy from them, it does look great

Also, dont think thats the factory soft top, look like Bestops slant back or another aftermarket company.

My order is still on mic top but I can’t help but wonder how durable is the soft top? How do you imagine the soft top compares to a hard top in terms of keeping heat during winter in or how does it do with ac on during hot/summer days. What is the weight difference between softtop vs hard top? Also, would it make any difference when insuring sot top vs hard top? I might change to soft top if it means getting my bronco sooner. Decisions, decisions..

Get you some of these (Butt connectors), and put them in behind the clip. It cinches it up a bit more. Really helps.

Guess I wasn't paying attention. Didn't realize that wasn't the stock top. Whoops

You buy a Bestop top that looks decent. No saving the flappy OEM top.

I heard about it here:
But I don't think they show close ups on how to install. It's pretty easy if you look at the clips.

Does it seem to put any strain on the materials when lifting up the back? Given everyone says it is loose/wavy to accommodate that lifting up movement.

Lifting up actually takes the strain off. That's why the windows ripple. It's only tight when it's down.
